I found this wonderful vacation home searching through Trip Advisor-we have come back twice a year since our first trip in 2018. There is no other place I’d rather be than at the Amish Guest House. The home is beautifully decorated and so very clean- everything you may need is at the home as well. The owners are two of the most lovely people-we consider them friends. We will only stay here on our visits to Lancaster County.

We have been visiting the Lancaster area for about 20 years and our stay at The Amish Guest House was the absolute best visit to date. This was a family trip with 4 adults and 2 children, 2 and 4 months. We Usually get 2 suites at a hotel, but a friend told us about their stay at his property so we decided to try it. We had the pleasure of meeting John and he could not have done more to make sure we were comfortable and was very knowledgeable about the area and suggested local places for us to try. There was homemade bread and jam left for us and there is also coffee and other things you may need if cooking at the house. The location of the property is great, within walking distance to Kitchen Kettle Village and all the shops in that area, yet quiet and peaceful enough you can sit on the front porch in the morning and watch the buggies go by and drink your coffee. The home is beautifully decorated, very well maintained, immaculately cleaned and very comfortable. Perfect for a family or couples getaway. We have already booked our next getaway with John and will make all future reservations here. They also have s cottage for smaller parties on the same property. Perfect

My friends and I just returned from our stay at the Amish Guest House-words can not describe how beautifully kept this home is. We had the distinct pleasure of meeting one of the owners during our stay-John Stoltzfus. He was very warm, accomodating, helpful and informative. Upon our arrival, we found a loaf of homemade baked bread and the best homemade strawberry jam-made by Ruth Stolzfus. I myself have been visiting Lancaster Country since I was a young girl. We always stayed at your typical hotel/motel-from now on I will be staying at this beautiful home each time I visit. I am about to email him with dates so I can bring my husband and parents to experience this amazing experience.

Stayed two nights in the Amish Guest House with my husband and parents, in the middle of a two-week trip through early American history. What a welcome break from cramped, generic hotel rooms! It was wonderful to have a welcoming home in which to spread out and relax. The hosts knew that they would not be available when we arrived, so they left very friendly and informative information about the home and the community, including detailed instructions for a very pleasant self-guided driving tour through the countryside to a lovely little Amish business that we would never have found on our own. They also left respectful and informative DVDs to help us learn about the Amish community. The home is a bit dated and the amenities sparse, so it is not a five-star resort, but that is not what we were looking for. It was perfect for us -- a comfortable, homey place to relax and recharge in the middle of a high-octane vacation.

Recently visited the Amish Country with a group of hiking club friends. We stayed at Wanner's Guest House which is located on a large working dairy farm. We had a wonderful time. With a master suite downstairs and four bedrooms upstairs, three with double beds and one with two double beds and two singles, this is an ideal place for a group of friends or a family vacation. The main part of the house dates to 1760! We enjoyed sitting on the porch, overlooking the pond and the barn and herd of dairy cows and watching the Amish buggies go by. The location is peaceful and way o ff the tourist track (although shops, etc, are just 8 miles away if you are interested. The hosts did everything to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Our group hiked at nearby Moneyrocks Park and hiked and kayaked at French Creek Park. Also visited a Farm Museum Village. A highlight was the tour of the Dairy Farm given by Jennifer, our host. Definitely want to return!
