Had room overlooking river which was wonderful. Drinks on patio by river also great. Had dinner and breakfast - both very good. Perfect location in very pretty village. No parking, so had to use public parking but only about 50 yards from the hotel. Parking only free from 5pm-10am so need to pay outside those hours. Top end price-wise but...

We stayed here for one night. The room was at the back of the hotel facing the river with sunshine streaming through the window. There were lots of stairs and winding twisty passages to get to it! It was a small but pleasant room perfectly adequate for one night. The staff were very friendly. We would stay her again

We stayed here 18-20 May 2017. We arrived to a very warm welcome. Our room was light, airy, spacious and clean with a lovely view from the bathroom window looking down the river towards the harbour (don't worry there is a blind for privacy!). We had specifically requested a room with a bath, which we got. However, we had the...

Clocked in on a very last minute 5 day break, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent. So many breakfast options, including kippers, smoked salmon plus the usual, including full English. Couldn't have chosen a better hotel in this small, friendly area. So many great locations to visit from here ..

Had dinner here with family on Sunday evening. We all ate well, food tasty and well presented. Staff very helpful. Lovely setting in cosy restaurant. My husband enjoyed his steak, which was cooked as he likes it. Plenty of choice on the menu. My only slight moan, would of been nice to of had some fresh fruit with my meringue...

Booked one night here on our way home, room was excellent and very comfortable. We had a double that looked out to the stream. The room was nicely decorated and the en suite bathroom was large, clean and had an excellent shower. The breakfast set us up for the trip home. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay here...

Thank you for your review. We see that you are an active Trip Advisor critic only posting two reviews, both for us, with one in October 2016 and one in March 2017. It is disappointing that on both occasions you express your dissatisfaction with our Sunday Carvery and vow never to return again. We hold our Carvery each week offering...
