We spent one night at The Riverside Hotel in Boscastle and would highly recommend this place to anyone. The location is excellent and the sound of the river babbling past the hotel at night time is very relaxing. The staff here made us feel very welcome and we really couldn't find fault. The food is is exceptional and we adored...

This was our overnight stop after 17 miles walking from Bude along the SWCP on a very sunny September day. We had room 1 which was very spacious, with a large bed and a bath (all important after a log day's walking). The staff were courteous, and the breakfast was very good. Certainly a place that merits another visit -...

My wife and I booked for one night as part of a short break and tried to book a second night on the strength of how much we enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately it was fully booked and I'm not surprised. The room was delightful, spacious, clean and airy, with lots of light from three sides. The staff were courteous and...

Sat in the garden for lunch which was comfortable and sheltered. Good choice on the menu and very reasonably priced. Food was freshly prepared and tasty. Service good too. They also offer all day breakfasts. Garden not visible from front, but if you walk further on to the bridge you will have a view of the garden - although entrance...

We popped in for a drink after a few miles walking on the coast. Walked in had menus shoved upon us, assumed we wanted food. Thinking we would be polite and eat we went to order a drink and a light bite, sitting outside walked over the bridge to bar, didn't get our table number the barman refused to take...

Character hotel in excellent position - just spent 2 nights here. Excellent value for money - room very good. Staff very friendly. Only problem - guests walking around in room above sounded like a herd of elephants and noise very early in morning and later at night made it difficult to sleep properly. As property listed, not much can be...

Great lunch, excellent value for money :) I would advise that you book in advance as we did. It was a cold and wet day, people were coming in for a table but fully booked. A compliment to Boscastle and its people.

A warm and friendly welcome, a lovely light and spacious room with views down to the harbour (room no. 2). Very quiet at night. The restaurant was full (you do need to book) but it was warm enough to sit outside by the river and he fish and the steak were excellent.

The interiors are dated but bizarrely it somehow suits the countryside feel and character of the village and the house. Our room had a view of the river and the cafe in the garden (very beautiful) and it was quite spacious. There is a nice restaurant downstairs too, which is convenient. Unfortunately the quality of sleep was pretty bad as...

We booked a week in The Riverside and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our room (no. 2) overlooked the harbour and the river and had ensuite bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Dinner, which we had on 3 evenings, was excellent. The restaurant was completely full on each occasion - a measure of its quality....
