Stayed here out of necessity during covid-19, the hotel is spotless , safe and the management and staff are so friendly and attentive. Breakfast is cooked fresh in the morning and the rooms are so clean and spacious , with free WiFi , large TVs , and my room had an amazing power shower. We had the pleasure of eating at the tapas steak restaurant on site , the atmosphere was very relaxed the food was locally sourced and cooked to perfection , the chef really is an asset complimented by the cocktail skills of the bar manager , it truly is a lovely hotel and we can’t wait to rebook !

This hotel was reasonably priced and is in a good position for visiting several Cornish fishing villages and seaside bays. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommending places to eat and visit. The chef was isolating while we were there so the restaurant wasn't open, therefore I can't comment on the food, however there is a very good Indian restaurant a couple of minutes walk away.

Our room was quite small although it was a superior double and was nowhere near the size of the other rooms we saw when their doors were propped open for cleaning. Having said that, it was modern and clean with a very modern en-suite shower room.

We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

Myself and my partner had to travel to Cornwall to pick up my children for half term. After speaking on the phone my stay was approved due to being in line with current Covid -19 travel restrictions. Friendly and inviting welcome on arrival. Excellent social distancing/Covid measures in place and being adhered too. Room and areas around the hotel felt 100% clean. Lovely super king-size bed very comfortable.
Great location for local amenities, we had a late night takeaway and we were provided with plates and cutlery from Reception. Great sized power shower with good pressure. Big car park, plenty of space to park.
Excellent all round.

We booked the Lowenac Hotel, months in advance, as it was near to a wedding we were attending. We were kindly advised to book taxis in advance as obviously on Saturday night they would get booked up, so I rang the hotel 6 weeks before our stay and was given the contact details for a local recommended taxi who I then booked with 4 journeys in total. I also made several requests for my elderly mother and a vegan member of our party. Both requests were greeted and dealt with efficiently. Everything we requested was greeted with a smile and accommodated. The taxi was brilliant, on time, caring and informative and everything went like clockwork. The staff were so friendly but also professional, the rooms were clean, spacious, light and airy, the large bed was super comfortable, the area quiet, and the shower was great. Don't forget to sign your car in to avoid the parking fine however! I would certainly book the Lowenac again if I was coming to the area.

Stayed for 4 nights beginning of July. As requested on arrival we checked in our car registration number , reception never mentioned either paying to park or that a daily check-in was required . On return home we received a letter from a car park company informing us that we owed £60 for parking and this would be increased to £100 if we did not make immediate payment . There was no mention of car park charges when we booked and paid in advance .

We hired the Lowenac Hotel for a vow renewal celebration and it was absolutely stunning. The house and garden were beautiful, the food and customer service was excellent. Martin and Callum went absolutely over and beyond to give us a really special day. All our guests were blown away by the beautiful regency-style function room (which is big enough for 30 people), and the lovely walled garden. We set up lawn games and the kids loved it. We absolutely recommend this as a venue.

We were a party of 7 for an evening meal to celebrate a 50th birthday. First time at the Lowenac for many years (despite being locals). The service was first class and the young man (unfortunately I forgot to ask his name) who was our waiter/barman for the evening was amazing. He had a great rapport and really made for a great evening.

He struck the perfect balance between attentive but not intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. No sense of being rushed or hurried but just the right timing between courses.

Food was excellent and really generous portions.

Highly recommended.

The hotel itself is in a great location for most of Cornwall, 30/45 minute drive to get around.

From the outside, this hotel needs some work. It took me by surprise as the pictures make it look much nicer. However, they are doing an extension so this could be why. They are doing a lot of updating which will be great once completed.

However, the room we were in, was lovely. It had a double bed, plus a single bed which was great for storing our items. The bed was very comfortable. The WIFI worked well, large TV in the room (was a little high, gave us a bad neck!)
The bathroom area was fine, it could do with an update as it felt a bit dated. We didn't have breakfast

Chose this hotel for its location and price. We were not disappointed.
Room was large and clean, with a very comfy bed. Modern bathroom - the designer sink was very attractive but completely useless for washing in but big shower.
Lovely gardens to the rear.
Breakfast was limited to full English or nothing - more choice would have been better.
Unfortunately the chef was sick so never got to try the restaurant.

This is a lovely, easy going hotel with really friendly and welcoming staff. Parking is on site. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. We had a lovely view of the garden and was very quiet indeed.

There's a great Indian restaurant about 3 minutes walk away and its only about a 5 minute walk into the main town where there are a couple of pubs and shops. This hotel is well situated with St Ives, Newquay and Lands End all less than an hour's drive away.
