The Premier Inn Camborne Hotel is often commended for its strategic location, making it a convenient base for exploring Cornwall. Guests have praised the clean, comfortable rooms and the friendly staff, although there have been occasional mentions of maintenance and soundproofing concerns. While the on-site restaurant is appreciated for its convenience, some travelers have experienced issues with meal availability and service speed. Opinions on the hotel's value for money are mixed, with meal deals receiving both praise and criticism. Despite minor ambiance issues, the overall atmosphere is considered welcoming.

At the last minute i had to stay an extra night. So i booked it and the staff were amazing. I didnt have to remove my personal belongings from the room. All i had to do was get a new key activated. Dani and Phillippa were so welcoming and dealt with my new booking with ease. Thank you very much. As an amputee the room I had was amazing too. Bed was low for me to get in and out of with ease. Very comfortable. Walk in shower so i could sit while taking a shower. Very clean hotel. Id stay again for business or pleasure.

We just spent 5 days at this Premier Inn. On our arrival our room had a strange smell but on reporting it to Zac on reception he offered us another room to try which was perfect. The location is good for many of the main resorts, the hotel has plenty of free parking, the rooms are spotless and the staff are very friendly. My only complaint would be that you can’t open your window which I like to do. It’s a personal preference but wouldn’t worry about it & with comfortable beds it was 5 good nights sleep.

Stayed for a few days as a couple, room excellent with air con, comfy bed and a very nice shower, tea, coffee and kettle in room with extra top ups available to collect at reception. Face masks should be worn in corridors and reception (although some guests didn't wear them). Location is at the side of the A30 and we were in one of the rooms closest to it but couldn't hear any traffic noise. A good location to get everywhere around south Cornwall, all the main areas for tourists are only 20 mins drive away. It is only a 20 minute walk into Cambourne if you wished to eat at any of the establishments there. There is a Table Table restaurant attached to this Premier Inn but we didn't use it, took a look at the menu one night but wasn't impressed.

The reception and housekeeping staff did a great job to make our stay stress free. It was clear that the room cleaning takes much longer than usual. Given that the hotel was fully booked due to it's popular location I hope that senior management appreciate the extra efforts of their hotel staff here. Stayed two nights and was very happy with the service

I decided to visit Cornwall for a few days.
I chose to stay at a Premier Inn, on arrival there is a lovely large car park with plenty of parking and at night the car park is well lit. There were security cameras pointed all around the car park which is a really good deterrent, can't comment on if they work or not.

Normal check in with Premier which was quick and easy. The lady on reception was polite and friendly.

My room was on the first floor.
On first appearances the room seemed ok but after a very short time quickly realised that it was stained quite badly that made me feel like it was dirty.
There were what can only be described as semen stains on either side of the bed.
Stains on long seat and stains on the chair.

The bed made a noise with every turn. I looked underneath and it looked someone had tried to repair the bed with two large pieces of wood?

First night I had someone bang on my door. When I got up, noone was there.
Second night I could the room next door with their TV on till early hours preventing me from sleeping.

On my final day, I walked through reception to go to breakfast and the person behind the desk had the heat up so high it was roasting walking through, which I made a comment on.
When I returned a short later, not sure if it was manager but a male member of staff had opened all the doors to allow the fresh air in.

I left just after 10am, leaving the key card in reception.

I am deeply concerned with inadequate COVID-19 safety measures at the Hotel. We stayed here for a night and thankfully for a night only. While checking-out we found their cleaning staff were huddling in the corridor and walking back and forth with their mask hanging around their neck. We had no option but to brush past them through the narrow corridor.

When I booked, I was ensured the safety at Premier Inn. But I was told by the reception staff that they are NOT required to wear a mask at all while the guests must wear it all times. This is reckless policy is different to two other Premier Inns we stayed in the area. This place is high risk and we are glad we were out on next day.

Also, don't go by the pictures posted by owner seriously as only handful of rooms are new and most have dated furniture with tired old feel. We were not super lucky enough to get one of the very few refurbished rooms. We stayed in room no 1 by the way.

Staff were very helpful on hotel reception confirming all information required due to Covid. Room was a lovely size and cleaned to a good standard. Rooms were not serviced during our 3 night stay because of Covid regulations but extra towels were provided on request.

The table table restaurant next to it was very busy and short staffed but the staff on duty were working very hard to try and reduce the waiting time which was longer than normal.

Breakfast was great value and again the staff on duty were working very hard to provide a good service. We would like to say a special thank you for the service we received on Saturday and Monday as nothing was too much trouble for our table of 6.

Hotel was in a great location to visit St Micheal mount the lizard st ives etc.

Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

On arrival we were left for 20 mins before a member of staff arrived to check us in. After a 4 hour car journey we just wanted to get to the rooms. When she checked us in she asked all the normal questions and gave me a key card. I assumed that because I requested an interconnecting room that why we had one key. We walked to the room to discover we needed the 2nd room key. Back to reception we went. The lady then said I had no further bookings, she came across as very rude and aggressive. She was not willing to help in the slightest. I then said my husbands name, I had already told her this on check in too. Explained that it was interconnecting, she asked if the door was open, I said no but no offer of fixing this. I left and went to the room, I have never experienced anyone like her in the job. Im hoping it was a bad day otherwise she needs a new career.
6am the next morning, the fire alarm was triggered by deodorant in another room. Staff were not helpful or apologetic as I now had very tired and cranky children. In terms of experienced, rooms were clean and basic. On a 3 day trip we were not given fresh towels or tea coffee etc. The desk was rarely manned. It was a basic room. I didn't feel at all welcomed and for £350 I wished I had picked a different hotel. The rooms were warm and the windows were open to allow air in. The problem was the noise from outside and the pollen made it a very uncomfortable hotel for me. The restaurant next door was friendly but food was not great on the second occasion we ate there. No one came to check our meals were ok.

When we got to the hotel they had no towels in any rooms. I had paid over £800 for 5 nights in a double room and was put in a disabled room with 2 single beds with a sheet over. The room was right next to the lift and first you come to when walking through the door so could hear everyone as the passed. The staff were really rude whilst trying to discuss the issue and didn't help in any way. The bathroom was dirty when we got into the room. I was not happy with the room for the price i had paid.

I was staying for more than one night in room 103. Checked into the room to find that the bed ribbon was not there and the beds were not properly made. I had to go to reception to get everything from towels, tea, cups and glasses. Bins and other used items need to be put outside the room. When I went to reception for new items, the staff was rude and grumpy. One tells me that I should wait for 3 days before asking for the room to be cleaned and try to dry the towels rather than asking for a replacement. Not a nice experience for a family holiday. I shall try to avoid staying in Premier Inn hotels from now on.

The disabled rooms are all on the ground floor, not all of them have walk in showers, if you require a walk in shower I would contact them directly so you can request it.

Request a room in the “quiet zone”. Our room was there overlooking the car park. I’m hardly ever sleep when in a different room - slept like a baby. Good luck!
