Went there for lunch with friends and chose the haddock & chips, it was really lovely. Good fish, lovely crisp batter , a really good lunch. I can honestly say that it was the nicest fish & chips I have had for a long time. Well done!

First time visit for late Sunday Lunch. Lovely friendly staff - nice atmosphere and the food was very good - lots of fresh vegetables and generous portion of meat. Asked for extra gravy and this was quickly brought to the table with a smile. Views from the restaurant part of the pub are fab. Will definatelly return

Booked in for five on a Sunday. Roast beef and all the trimmings.... Very very tasty and plenty of it, also lamb and pork were good. Keep it up guys, just a little more attention to detail and consistency.

We stayed at this Cornish Country Pub for two nights because of it's proximity to a wedding we were attending. We ate there on the first night and the food was average. The bedrooms however need a real makeover. There is a musty smell and there is little insulation between rooms and the rooms themselves are shabby. A real shame...

I arranged a visit to The Finnygook Inn for my team's wrap party. We had been working in the area filming a new documentary for the previous two months and came here for work drinks on the last night of filming. The pub is lovely and was extremely accommodating to fit in our party of 30 people. We had a...

An excellent place to eat, service slow, but we'll worth the wait. Menu limited and no bar snacks or sandwiches. Do not stay here the rooms are shabby and uncomfortable. Could be a great place with a makeover. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff. Great location with wonderful views from the restaurant.

Very long wait for starter, even though we were there early with only one other table, whom ordered after us and received before us. Mains along wait too, reading other reviews we must have arrived on a bad day, compared...

Avery warm welcome from the owner, staff could not have been more helpful or polite, mostly hats off to the chef who produced outstanding food every evening. We were so pleased with the range of dishes that we didn't look anywhere else during our stay in Portwrinkle and ate there for four nights out of 6!!! Excellent Restaurant with stunning...

We were staying in the village for a weeks break. Many great things to say about this pub. We arrived after a 6 hour journey to the village and went to the pub after 9pm to see if we could get some food. The kitchen had closed but the owners kindly offered to russle us up some fish and chips...
