Myself and my partner booked the Tractor Barn for a week last September. The Barn provided easy to find and we arrived down a quiet, leafy road to be greeted warmly by the owner. He answered all our queries, showed us around and provided careful instructions on how to use the Aga (which I definitely needed, my cooking is usually much more modern). The barn is situated just outside Hayle, in a quiet part of the country, it does have quick and easy access to the A30. All rooms are on a single level, with two large well decorated bedrooms (one with a super king size and the other a king size bed). Both have en-suite bathrooms (one with a shower, the other with a bath). The combined kitchen/living area, is very large and spacious. For cooking, there is the impressively large Aga (which provided adept at cooking a large leg of lamb) and an induction hob. In the living area are two sofas near a wood burner (the burner provided unnecessary as the Aga warmed the room thoroughly), a large flat screen TV and a piano. We were also, thoughtfully supplied with scones, clotted cream and jam. Very welcome after a long drive. We enjoyed staying here so much, that we are returning next month. When you’ve stayed somewhere as comfortable as this, anywhere else in Cornwall would feel a little second rate. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage, great location, but they simply didn't have wifi or Internet access. The owners claimed they did, even when we were there, but it just wasn't available. Having booked out of season, and brought some work projects to complete we had no option but to leave half way through our booking. The owners refuse to accept they have problem, simply repeating a BT claim about internet speeds in Cornwall. They refused to refund any money. Booked through an agency, Classsic Cottages, and the agent has proved to be next to useless.

We booked the cottage (called "The Dairy"). It is self contained with everything you could possibly want. Our hosts were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and the setting is delightful. Cannot recommend Rowan Barn too highly.

We were on a stopover on our way to the Scillies and Rowan Barn fitted the bill completely. Our room (Hazel) was not large but beautifully decorated with good pictures and the large bathroom very well appointed and pristine. We were made very welcome and breakfast was delicious.
