Had to stay here for one night as was working down here and this was the only place the company could book me into. Shoebox of a room with a dingy, poky bathroom with a shower you could barely turn around in. The furnishings all old & worn and the whole place was just depressing. Had to leave before they...

This is a lovely old building in need of a great deal of TLC or better still complete refurbishment! The room was basic but adequate ok for a few nights but not really more. the breakfast was basic, the toaster took an age to produce a slice of warm dried bread. (we gave it a miss on the secomd morning)

I only stayed one night but what a lovely quirky hotel. The rooms are basic yes but totally adequate. The breakfast was very nice. All the staff were extremely friendly and the location is perfect, right in the middle of the street. If you are looking to travel around the Helston area viewing all the tourist sites and want a...

Location and history of this 16th century inn seemed good but it is in serious need of renovation and a change of attitude by the staff and owner. We climbed 37 stairs to our room and when we entered the bathroom the door fell off. The bathroom had no mirror, no shelf to put personal items on and no towel...

I have stayed at the Angel many times before and haven't really had reason to complain up until now!! I checked in and went up to my room, tried to put the TV and had no signal so I went down to the bar to ask if there was a reason for this and was told that a seagull had...

Stopped in on a Saturday night for some karaoke! It was a great time. Not many people there, but that was nice, as we didn't embarrass ourselves too much! The bar staff are very friendly and the gentleman running the karaoke was friendly and supportive. Recommended for you karaoke needs!

Two couples on a one night stay in September 15. This is the second time we have stayed, yes it is a bit old and very tired. Yes it needs revamping, redocrating etc.. but it is in the centre of Helston, has off street parking, a decent bar and a half decent menu. The bar staff took care of us...

Stayed a night here. The hotel is a bit tired but the room was comfortable enough - the bed especially so. Smallest en suite ever but a good shower. The entrance area is not very welcoming but the staff were. Parking is limited but free
