We stayed here whilst we were on a cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats. The staff were so unbelievably kind and hospitable - they event made a contribution to our charity! The food was amazing and the rooms were very comfortable. They catered to our every need and we wish we could have stayed for longer! Thank you so much!
What a delightful friendly pub. Lovely food and great service. The fish and chips was delicious and I would highly recommend a visit. The pub had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Absolutely chaos.. Surely this restaurant management have chosen the wrong line of business as the manager was more interested in her mobile than get food delivered over to customers.. More than 2 hours to get food done and absolutely no sense of urgency or customer service. Pricey, and food wasn't special at all. No questions asked about names and contact details for Covid19 tracing. Avoid at all costs.
We went to this pub a few times on our holiday every time we were greated by very friendly staff. We had food there on 2 of our visits and both times the food was excellent. It was just really good home cooked food done very well. Wish we had a local pub like this at home. Next time we are down that way it's top of the list for a night out. Would definitely recommend giving it a go if your near Lostwithiel.
Very well worth a visit, very impressed, a small issue with the room was resolved immediately and cannot fault anything during our stay. Breakfast well presented and plenty of choice. Staff very amenable.
Had a warm welcome and excellent service and food. Good choice on menu. I had the BBQ Spare Ribs on the special menu and it was delicious. My mom had the duck and sister had the sea bass. Both said the meals were very tasty.
I eat at The Earl of Chatham relatively regularly. The food is simply superb and delicious!!! Sunday lunch is a particular joy! Customer service is excellent; friendly, professional and courteous. In my view, it is quite simply the best local pub to eat.
Cannot fault the AMAZING home cooked food and friendly staff in such a picturesque setting at the top of the town. Rooms available for a stay if needed... I would more than happily move in at the level of service this place had to offer and the food... words cannot describe See for yourselves....
No trouble booking in, we were a party of 5, so had all 3 rooms, nice and clean, lovely beds, and plenty of hot water and nice showers. The landladies, staff very helpful,we had a lovely meal, on our 1st evening which we had previously booked for 8,o’clock,but as we had arrived earlier than we thought, they were quite happy to make it earlier for us. We all had different meals and everyone enjoyed them! Lastly we enjoyed our lovely breakfasts, which Jackie was quite happy to extend for us to include fruit and yogurt!,thanks Jackie.
expensive , called in on a hot day for a couple of soft drinks , lemonade and lime , 2 pints cost nearly £9 wont be going there again in a hurry. Nice place and friendly staff , pub atmosphere was warming to strangers
