I stayed here for a weekend to attend a wedding at nearby Boconnoc house - my room was beautiful, very clean, everything in there you could possibly need, comfy bed and pillows, beautiful big bathroom, kettle and coffee maker, iron and ironing board. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the young man who served us breakfast each morning...

Lostwithiel is not exactly a picturesque town and the Fowey Valley Hotel from the outside did not look at all inviting. However it all changes once you are inside. The hotel has had a good make-over and the bedroom we had, No 8, on the ground floor was clean, comfortable and had a view over the garden. We ate in...

Many thanks for your kind comments, Room 8 is a lovely room (Superior Double), and whilst I agree with your comments about our frontage which we are hoping to make a start on this coming October, we felt it paramount to ensure that our 36 bedrooms & our F&B offering were refurbished first during this past few months of the...

Love the fact the hotel is dog friendly it's always nice not to leave anyone behind! The dog treat and box is a nice touch for doggie guests. The room itself was okay, car parking great and the staff were polite. Big enough space and was warm enough. Huge downside was our bathroom the floor on arrival was soaked, we...

Many thanks for your comments, we love having dogs stay with us (we have 6 dog-friendly rooms available) as they bring a smile to everyone including myself! Not sure what happened with your bathroom during your stay with us but our brilliant housekeeping & maintenance team are investigating and will rectify, so I can only apologise!

The hotel is centrally placed with good road and rail links for exploring the area. Our room was comfortable and very clean with a good hot shower. There was plenty of choice at breakfast with many things cooked to order. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. We have stayed here three times now and have always found it...

The weather was against us for our stay. Pleased to say our room was very clean warm and comfortable with a good shower. Great staff. Good choice for breakfast. enjoyed our evening meal. Would have given a 5, but didn't realise that there is a block of rooms away from the main building. With the bad weather it wasn't very...

We take our beloved dog with us wherever we go and this hotel beats them all, hands down, for dog friendliness. There was a delightful welcome pack for our dog, something I have not seen in any other dog friendly hotel. Extremely thoughtful and kind. Having been in the hotel industry myself, I felt this was one of the most...

We found the Best Western Fowley Valley a very comfortable and pleasant hotel. It was clean and fresh and the staff friendly and helpful. We did not expect too much when we arrived and saw the drab frontage but the fresh interior and staff welcome soon put us in comfort.
