We have made many visits over the past couple of years and never disappointed, food well cooked, quirky environment really friendly atmosphere and superb service. The only place I would eat a stew, the hake is fabulous, as is the soup. Meringues are out of this world. Looking forward to our next visit.

This must be one of the best B & B's around. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Viv, the proprietor, into her immaculate home. Our en-suite came with all amenities and had it's own separate lounge, complete with TV, fridge, sink etc. The bedroom opened up onto a balcony equipped with table and chairs and with a clear...

There were six of us celebrating three birthdays. We all had beautifully cooked food, served in lovely surroundings by super staff. The restaurant only opens on Thursday and Friday evenings and is not licensed, so you can take your own wine....always a bonus. Thankyou

I have traveled a lot in England but hardly ever found an accommodation so beautiful! The owner, Viv, told us she loves what she is doing and it clearly shows: the rooms are exquisitely decorated in a fresh and very tasteful style - the colors of all the fabrics in the rooms would qualify Viv for an interior decorator! When...

My husband and I stayed here last September. We were first greeted with a cup of tea by our friendly hostess. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean. There was a nice pub across the street serving good meals. On our last night, we enjoyed a delicious meal at The Field House. I...

Have eaten here many times since the present owner opened, and have never had any complaints. Wonderful family run establishment with friendly staff and a menu that changes regularly. Home cooking at its best. Will certainly return.

We arrived at Field House exhausted from 15 miles of walking, and Viv's warm welcome and complementary Cornish Cream Tea was a great pick me up. Having a 'living room' in addition to our bedroom was a real treat and felt like we had an entire apartment, for less nightly charge than most of our previous accommodation. Nice room, and...

My wife booked this stay with Viv (owner) as we wanted to visit Geevor, Levant and other parts of this beautiful but rugged coastline. We were not disapointed, from the moment we arrived Viv made us welcome with a traditional Cornish cream tea. Our room with en-suite, tv, tea making facility, wi-fi had it all and as an extra bonus,...

We were spoilt for the view, the hospitality, the spacious rooms and a fantastic breakfast. So much - that we are booking for next year and staying a week. Viv is a spectacular host and helped us in our wedding plans and on the day. This first time visit suits all- but especially for a romantic visit to the poldark...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We welcome you to our lovely coastal home, cool contemporary edged decor, lovely guest rooms with views across fields to the ocean and fabulous sunsets over the sea. Delicious breakfasts with finest local produce and a welcome Cornish cream tea on arrival. The Field House has fantastic views to Poldark country, as we are set just above the cliff tops of Levant and Botallack mines where much of the filming took place. The main guest room has a great roof top terrace and this is a charming alfresco space to relax and truly soak in this amazing unspoilt coastal location and wide atlantic vista, this room also has a private adjoining sitting room. We also have a second charming guest room with sea view. ... more   less
