I was staying in a B&B up the road on my way around the South West Coast Path and dropped in for some supper. I enjoyed a lovely Pasta Bolognaise with Crusty Bread setting me up well for the next days walk on to Falmouth. Friendly bar staff and warm atmosphere highly recommended.

We called in here whils walking the coastal path. The pub is child friendly and has a small but good menu. The food was very reasonably priced and home made. I can recommend the pate which was excellent. The pub is a small cornish village pub with an open fire and typical fishing memorabilia all around inside. Well worth calling...

My family and I love this pub and have been visiting for over 30 years, since I was a child. I now bring my own children. On this occasion, we walked with young children on a glorious day from Gillan and we were made to feel very welcome on what was a busy Thursday lunchtime. There is always a very...

I was staying at the Beach View in Porthallow and went to The Five Pilchards Inn for a Christmas Eve drink. The locals were very welcoming and the local mince pies from St Keverne were delicious! A big thank to the staff and Dave the landlord at The Five Pilchards for warm welcome and great hospitality!

A lovely Saturday evening in The 5 Pilchards. This place is pretty remote but certainly worth a detour or two, the steaks are fabulous! We may be doing the rest of the menu a disservice as the four of us went for the same option. The staff were friendly and there was a pleasant atmosphere in this quaint fisherman's pub....

My husband had work in St Keverne, so we stayed two nights in porthallow and ate at this pub both nights. What can I say, fresh, homecooked food, friendly staff and unusual beers. Would definately visit again if in the area

An old fashioned inn situated in Porthallow Cove area. The decor is a mix of granny's best China and fishing artifacts. I didn't sample the menu but they obviously take pride in local produce. Anyway I came in for a drink and enjoyed a pint of Dumpling and a snack. A very pleasant detour on my way back.

We were recommended to this place, especially for their steaks, and were not disappointed. From the chatty and amusing waitress to perfectly cooked rump steaks, dripping with flavour, and the great local ales. It's a little hidden, but that's the fun of Cornwall, really worth searching out. Oh, best to ring and book first - gets busy! Dog friendly. Richard.

Visited with a group of friends. Good beers, ciders and wine. Lovely character pub with friendly helpful landlord. Great crab sandwiches and variety of food available. We ate outside in the garden/ courtyard. The pub is located next to the beach (only sandy at low) in a cosy cove.
