The Waterwheel Inn is a very good place to stay. The well organised staff are professional and helpful. The food is excellent especially breakfast (we liked the homemade marmalades). The rooms and environs were sea-side themed and very tasteful. We loved the conservatory and the gardens. Francesca and Mark are perfect hosts.

We were so happy to have found this place on our first visit in October and we didn't think twice when we were visiting St. Austell again in December. Francesca and Mark are lovely people, the rooms are spotless and comfortable and as for the food......! We would recommend to...

Lovely hosts and wonderful food, excellent base to explore Cornwall. Kernow the Black Lab was the star of the visit. Great start to each day with the awesome Breakfast. Although building work was in progress, this did not impact on our stay.

From the initial welcome to the time of departure everything about our stay was superb. The room was comfortable and homely, the dinners and breakfasts were incredible and the setting was stunning. Guests are made to feel welcome to the point of feeling like part of the family but the professionalism of Francesca, Mark and the team was evident at...
