Enxcellent location. Felt at home immediately. Facilities ideal. Excellent choices for breakfast and gevening meals, food well presented and delicious. A very warm welcome from Mark and Francesca and lovely Kernow the black labrador who welcomed us every day with his toys. Would return, and would certainly recommend.

We stayed here as it was handy for visiting the eden project four miles. away. The Inn is situated in a beautiful narrow valley alongside a stream. It has lovely gardens patio and pond area ideal to relax in . Loved the food, breakfast was filling enjoyed the home made preserves and granola. Dinner was a la Carte or a...

Don't be put off by the building work - they are working very hard to give their guests an even better experience with new rooms offering either a Juliet Balcony or Courtyard entrance and, once inside, you hardly knew there was any work taking place. The owners are very welcoming and so is Kernow the dog - but not in...

We needed to stay near St Austell for one night with our dog. We are so pleased we chose the Waterwheel Inn. The owners are so keen to help without being overbearing. They provided us with lots of valuable information about the town and area. In addition, the food in the restaurant was excellent; well cooked and very delicious. The...

Stayed here 3 nights a couple of pensioners plus his mother. The owners were superb from the time we booked. They even arranged a birthday cake for us. The Inn is a credit to them, such a friendly atmosphere, beautifully decorated, spotless throughout and amazing food. We had dinner each night, a good selection and very reasonably price. The quality...

A warm and friendly welcome and a beautifully decorated room with great facilities and the comfiest bed. We had a fantastic breakfast from the wide choice offered and then enjoyed our morning coffee on the decking in the most beautiful garden. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.

From arrival to departure - first rate all round. A fine example of what a well-run inn/hotel should be. A warm and friendly welcome, wonderful atmosphere and splendid food. Well situated for access to the whole of Cornwall. We will return!

This is a small but very welcoming hotel very conveniently placed for Heligan, Caerhays Castle and Eden. The aim of Mark and Francesca is to make you feel at home and they do - making us feel that we were their personal guests. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent (breakfast and dinner - only slight niggle is that...

Great place to stay. Great hosts; Francesca and Mark. The rooms are small, but then so was the price. They were comfortable and have everything you need. Currently only seven rooms, but they are building on six more (but the works didn't disturb us). Nice bar and great restaurant. We stayed three nights and had planned to only eat there...
