Our host Peter was polite, pleasant and cheerful. His knowledge of the surrounding area was brilliant, from places to eat to places to visit. He runs the guest house on his own and nothing is to much trouble for him. Our room and the guest house was clean and tidy, and the food was excellent. A five minute walk into...

This hotel is in a good location as a base for touring around Cornwall. St Austell itself we thought was a dump where everything shuts down at 5 pm and the town centre becomes completely dead. Peter is an excellent host. We had a lovely room with a very comfortable 4 poster bed and an excellent en-suite shower room. Breakfast,...

Although on a busy road, the room was quiet. Good location , easy to get to Heligan , Eden etc but within walking distance to town centre. Room and facilities spotlessly clean. Peter very friendly host and helpful with local knowledge.

The room was wonderfully quiet, very clean with a well built efficient shower. Peter was very welcoming and went out of his way be helpful, informative and friendly. He provided useful information regarding transport and local amenities. We can thoroughly recommend this B&B and we will be returning in the near future.

As a solo traveller I stayed in the annex at The Elms which was a cosy room and ideal for my needs. The hospitality tray was well stocked and there was also a fridge which was a useful addition. Peter is a friendly host and cooks delicious breakfasts which are served in a very pleasant conservatory. St Austell is a...

Peter is a great host, friendly and most of all helpful I was ill during my stay and he could not do enough to assist me. I was located in the single annexe at the side of house which was private and quiet.

I stay here for four days. I stay at Eden-Suite. Have a look at the fotos. The house is next the street but the room is silent. The bedroom isn't so tall but tall enough. The bathroom is amazing. The bed isn't to hard and not to soft. But the best at all is the owner. I feel welcome and...

I stayed at the Elms for 5 weeks while I was on placement in St Austell Community hospital. They were very accomodating to all my needs, arranging early breakfasts, letting me use the fridge and allowing me to stay even when they were supposed to be closed! It's a lovely friendly B&B, beautifully clean, and great value for money. I...

I was travelling alone and opted for the single room which is a separate annexe from the main house. It was a great choice. I had my own private entrance to a room that was very comfortably furnished and maintained to a very high standard. I could not have done better. Peter, the owner/host, is very welcoming and takes his...
