Stayed for three nights over new year on a 'three nights for the price of two' offer. We chose here as it was dog friendly & we were travelling with our two dogs. Initial thoughts on arrival were a little different (!) from reading some of the great reviews on here. The B & B was tired & needs some...

I spent a night at the arches whilst visiting my family with christmas presents. The room was spotlessly clean with plenty of tea and coffee. An excellent breakfast was provided by Nicci who was very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend the Arches to anyone looking for a b & b in the area.

3 night stay in the Blue room, very quiet as at the back of property. Large bed very comfy, everything spotlessly clean. Good breakfast choices all fresh and hot. Lovely friendly Nikki makes you so welcome (hope your cough is better). Nice area, road can be very busy if walking but can get to property from the back footpath which...

Another stay and Nikki is as welcoming and friendly as before. She provides an excellent breakfast choice and is knowledgeable about the locality. Very clean rooms as well. With off-road parking what more is there to say.

Very warm welcome with a lovely cream tea. The good sized room was beautifully made up, very clean. Breakfasts were great with a good choice and well cooked. A very pleasant stay with a great host. Thank you Nikki

Booked this B&B as my friend was getting married in a hotel not far away. It was ideal as we have a dog (which was allowed in), perfect as it had off road parking and at the side side of the B&B a wonderful walk away from the road. B&B was lovely, nice sized double with on-suite shower, very clean...

This is our 3rd visit, and it is worth it every time, I can not understand how anyone can write a bad review on the perfect B&B, from the greeting you get when you arrive, everything is lovely. The green room with four poster bed is so comfortable. Breakfast is piping hot, and more than enough to start your day.

Just the one night stayed. Fundamentally not bad but first impressions were of a disinterested owner more interested in her sewing than her guests. Room was ok but swamped by an unnecessarily large double which meant floor space was compromised. Not great with a lot of luggage. Separate bathroom (en suite booked by another in our party) which was adequate....

We stopped for one night before going to Cornwall. The place was rather nice. We got a family room on the top floor. It was spacious though the stairs of this victorian house was rather narrow, and a bit irregular. The location was convenient for visiting the Eden Project. The hostess was very friendly and we loved the choices she...

Rooms were fantastic beds amazingly comfortable, breakfast plentiful and you have to try the scrambled eggs with clotted cream they are to die for. Nicky is a brilliant host and her attention to detail was fab I was in the red room and even the toilet water was pink. All in all a wonderful stay we will be back x
