Stayed here for 1 night to save getting up at 5am to drive down to play golf. The room was comfortable and had everything that was required. The dinner and breakfast was very tasty and the range of beers varied and reasonably priced.

Myself and my family stopped in here today for some lunch before travelling home and im so glad we did. My husband, myself and i were greeted so warmly upon first arriving. We chose our food and as we had 2 toddlers and an 11 year old with us, their food was ready first and looked amazing. Ours came a...

Booked to stay here for one night as we were off to the Eden project to see the manic street preachers. Very welcoming upon arrival, room was clean and comfortable with tea, coffee and bottled water available. Locals very friendly and even offered us to share the taxi to and from Eden which was great. Such a Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for ... had a brilliant day. Lovely local bitter on tap. Food was lovely. The children were welcomed and I would definitely recommend. Can't wait to go back

Visited with family & had a Sunday roast. Although a reasonable sized portion the food was of average quality & not particularly memorable. This is a pub that is ok for enjoying St.Austell ales but not noted for exceptional food. Prices are reasonable however & would suit anyone on a budget.

On approaching St Austell Monday afternoon 7th, my fellow travellers 2 (2 sisters) and I saw a big sign on the gable wall of this pub advertising food all day from 8am. Hungrybfrom a long drive we parked up and I entered while my sisters attended to our bags. I quickly used the toilet and entered the bar afterwards looking...

I'm afraid you did not ask to see menus and went straight to the toilet. Had you asked politely if you could use our facility's you would have been told you couldn't you don't mind making a donation of 10p or more to our nominated charity. We have many people come into our bar to use the toilets as we...

Very good B&B but expensive. Excellent overnight stay if visiting The Eden Project and/or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Welcoming bar scene with some interesting locals and some real ales. Food was just average but inexpensive. Very welcoming owners. Free car park at the rear.

First off the owners were very friendly and got the kids involved with activities in the pub so a very child friendly place. There's even a colouring activity which they thoroughly enjoyed as did mummy :) We did have our evening meal here on the 1st night. As far as I can see food is generally very well received but...

Thankyou for you review. I'm pleased to hear you slept well and that our pub is family friendly, something we work hard on. I'm glad you think our chips are the best you've had... We take pride in our food and most people do think it's extremely good value for money. As for your comments about the room being dusty,...

The staff could not have done more to make our stay pleasant. We had an evening meal and breakfast there and the food was great. The atmosphere in the bar was buzzing and there was a live band on in the evening. All in all, a great stay.
