The hotel was quite frankly well overpriced - this is no more than a 3 maybe pushing 4 star at best. The breakfast has tacky pop music playing whilst you are trying to relax at the so-called "spa" hotel. The view from breakfast is of the rubbish bin area for the hotel...Staff at breakfast show no organisation and you end...

lovely grounds. Clean rooms , tasteful décor. Very helpful and cheerful staff. Lovely bar to relax and have a drink. the restaurant was fair to below average. Room temp ranged from extremely hot to extreme drafts coming from open windows. Open kitchen makes the room to hot. I suggest going out to another place to eat. The local towns have...

My husband and I stayed for 1 night with our 5 month old son as a birthday treat. The grounds are impressive & the main White House hotel is modern as you enter the reception. We stayed in the J Hammond room 105. It has great views looking out onto the grounds a and it is situated at the front...

Stayed Saturday to Monday towards the end of the summer holidays with my husband and 3 children. Beautiful estate. Staff were courteous friendly approachable and will go out of their way to assist. Bed was so comfortable, stayed in luxury woodland room. With balcony and plenty of space for the 5 of us. (One child under 2) There were no...

My husband and I went there for a couples, spa day (well half a day) The treatments were very good, staff very attentive and friendly. Facilities were excellent. Had a lovely swim in the pool. The only thing we would mention, is that the Jacuzzi could have been a bit warmer.

Positives: 1. Breakfast was very good - pastries fresh not dry, sausages tasty not fatty 2. Luxury double room very spacious - nice to have a wide balcony to sit out on, good size bath 3. Acorns Brasserie - food very good quality, fish specials were good, and was comparably priced to restaurants in the area 4. Staff very polite...

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and stylish. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. We had booked a spa break and enjoyed a massage and facial as well as the facilities ( sauna, steam room and whirlpool). The only negative thing was they tried to charge us double on...

From the exterior, the hotel looks quite unassuming and classic, yet inside it is ultra modern, well decorated and spacious. The rooms have beautiful views over the grounds and provide a peaceful retreat for a weekend break. Service is prompt, from cheerful staff - and whilst we only had breakfast at the hotel, food was great. Visited the spa and...

First the good things: everywhere was very clean, the food was good and the fine dining in the main restaurant was excellent. The spa was good (we had treatments) with friendly staff. The infinity swimming pool was very nice and would have been even better if the weather had been kinder as there are bi-fold doors that fold back on...

Bit of an odd place this, we booked via secret escapes and got a mega deal. This hotel should be double or treble the price. What it misses and maybe why it isn't more expensive is adult supervision. The staff are all young and clearly having a great time, they could be a lot more customer focused. That's not to...
