This is lovely accommodation in a beautiful location. Jo the owner greeted us as soon as we arrived and gave us a tour of our cottage which was just behind the main house. The property is now self catering but that wasn't a problem with such a large and well stocked kitchen. This is certainly a home away from home... More

Wow, loved the place as soon as we pulled into the car park! Idylic location, beautiful grounds, beautiful cottage and such a warm welcome from the owner Jo. We were shown around our accomodation, but both my husband and I thought we were being shown around Jo's home it was so beautiful and homely. We had booked self catering but... More

Our 3 night stay here was so lovely. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious with lots of thoughtful extras. The cottage itself is well equipped and very comfortable, we didn't want to leave!! There is no breakfast available anymore, which we actually found to be preferable as you don't have to get up! But with a lovely kitchen to use... More

Nigel and Penny ,what can i say but a massive thankyou for your very kind and glowing review. I am always thrilled when guests enjoy and appreciate the accommodation they have booked, quite a lot of effort does go into keeping things as good as they should hopefully be. I know you come down to see family every few months,... More

Such a beautiful Gem!! , my husband and I stayed in the apartment/ house at the back of the main house which is self catering, we we didn't mind, it so clean and spacious and a amazing view of country/forest. We come to cornwall to see the Eden Project which is only 5-10 walk away, and you get discount for... More

We stayed here in September for 3 nights and would happily have stayed longer. There are 2 beautiful rooms in the house reached up a short steep staircase. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in away from home and the silk duvet very cosy. Our room had an en-suite bathroom which also had a separate dressing... More

Look no further if you want a base to visit Cornwall. Stayed with my wife for 4 nights in September. We pre-booked the garden suite as it says it is detached from the main house. As we arrived and found the parking area, we were greeted by Jo who was in the garden. After collecting the keys, Jo showed us to... More

I stayed with my wife and what a fantastic experience it was, as it was a surprise weekend for her. As we travel a lot, sometimes you enter a room and think , why did I not book any more nights ? This is one such place . Even big establishments struggle to achieve this standard. Spacious room ,comfy bedding... More

The Woodpeckers is a delightful place to stay. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean, the facilities excellent. The breakfasts are wonderful and Jo is a splendid host. The location is ideal for visiting the Eden project, the Lost gardens of Heligan and Truro just to mention a few places.

I'm not one to write a review, yet due to how outstanding woodpeckers bed and breakfast was, I had to write one. After a 6 hour drive, we finally reached our destination. Situated in the beautiful town of St Austells Cornwall, sits the beautiful woodpecker bed and breakfast. Met by Jo, (the most welcoming host I've ever met) who showed... More
