We booked in for a 6:30pm meet up with mates, the service at the bar seemed a little slow but as they were busy it was understandable. Once seated with drinks & carvery tickets, we headed up for food. We then had to wait for about 10mins for someone to carve, not even a queue just the 3 of us....

My partner and I visited on 10/04/17 at 8pm for a late tea. We sat in the bar area as it was quiet and we liked the booths to sit in. I had to lemon & thyme chicken and partner had ham, egg and chips The food came out hot and was tasty! My meal was huge and was a...

My wife and I visited The Rashleigh Arms after having walked five miles on the coastal path. We had eaten here once before on a visit to Charlestown two years ago; the food was really nice on that occasion - but this time the meals were exceptional. It was the best meal I had during the whole week's holiday. Dogs...

Family holiday to Charlestown for Easter and we stopped in here after a meal for a drink and to play some cards before bedtime for the kids. Very family friendly and welcoming, the pub is well laid out with bar, restaurant and large beer garden. Serves an excellent pint of local St Austell Tribute ale ... brilliant. Large TVs for...

Went for lunch with family of 7 most of the food which was predominantly fish was excellent, but the main gripe was the chips which were too soggy and greasy,I told the young lady our waiter ,who said she would pass my remarks onto the chef, well that's ok but why should a nice place like this ever send out chips so...

Another lovely Sunday lunch. Roast beef, lamb and gammon to choose from. 😀 Good selection of veggies and wonderful gravy. We all had a wonderful time. The dessert, individual banoffee pie and warm chocolate pudding was delicious. Staff really friendly and very attentive. Can't go wrong going to the Rashleigh.

Great location in Charlestown harbour. Lovely little village. Free parking. Short walk to other restaurants nearby. The actual pub looks nice, although didn't eat or drink here. Only breakfast which was included. Breakfast was nice and cooked to order. Friendly and helpful breakfast staff. Breakfast area (restaurant) was fresh, modern and airy. Place has had a modern makeover since my...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Rashleigh Arms was built in 1851 on the foundations of old clay cellars and was given its name after the creator of Charlestown Harbour, formerly West Polmear, Charles Rashleigh. It also boasts probably one of the only Grade II listed car parks in the country, basically the site of old coal storage yards, and is situated in a World Heritage Site. The Rashleigh is ideally positioned in central Cornwall and provides an excellent jump off point for lots of great attractions with the world famous Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan within five miles radius. We are also within sight of the historic Tall Ships and Charlestown harbour, a world heritage site and an attraction in itself. The Pub has moved with times and although over 150 years old boasts eight four star gold rated rooms, a public bar, popular with the locals that shows all live sport and has great bands every fortnight. Our lounge bar is fantastic for relaxing in with large leather sofas and armchairs with a touch of historic Charlestown. The restaurant is modern, open plan and serves locally sourced food from 12 - 9pm every day; and if the weather's good our patio and garden is the ideal place to spend a few hours or more! ... more   less
