Had just moved to area and thought would pop in as it is local for something to eat drink. Place was dark and shabby. Stood at bar to over hear staff stating they don't like emmets! And couldn't be bothered to serve. I was about to walk, but family decided to just order a drink. Was my first and my...

What more could you ask for Friendly landlady. Nice Sunday roast. Being a veggie it was the best ever nut roast. Great company and live jazz. Best way to depend a Sunday lunch and a great start to the new year

Myself and my three friends decided to stop off here on our way home to St.Ives. The waitress behind the bar was very very unwelcoming and didn't smile once, she barely even spoke to us, we asked her a simple question about the menu but she had no knowledge at all and had to ask someone sitting at the bar...

Good menu choice. We both enjoyed our lunch very much. My vegetable lasagne was lovely. Fast and very pleasant service from Kate who made us feel very welcome. Lovely old traditional pub decor, spotless toilets and very dog friendly.

A nice family friendly place with good food. Would recommend for people to stop and try the food. The staff were very pleasant and didn't leave us waiting long for food which was also to a nice standard. I would return if I came in the direction again.

Interesting old pub on the road from Hayle to Helston with large car park and is now open for Lunch. Sue had a decent meal and was OK while my blokes meal of Ham,egg & Fries was just ok but not for over eight pounds. I support local pubs,we eat in them quite a lot so may I offer a...

Reviewing food only:- We (4 of us) found this place by chance, looking for somewhere for a sensibly priced meal on the way back to our accommodation. It looks old fashioned, slightly shabby in the nicest possible way. Staff were very friendly & helpful and the food was excellent & very good value. My steak & kidney pie was excellent-lots...

We randomly found this pub while on holiday in the area and were glad we did. The food was great with good prices, lovely friendly service and family friendly too. We visited on more than one occasion.

I holiday regularly in Cornwall and always make sure that this pub is my first port of call! The food is absolutely second to none and the friendliness of the manager and staff exceeds all expectations. The Sunday lunches are home made and not the frozen slop usually served in a pub and the other pub lunches are amazing. I...
