Only stayed one night but the landlord's exuberant warm welcome as walked through the door was the start of a perfect 24 hour stay here. The ensuite double room is compact but perfectly fitted out with all necessary comforts and a wonderfully comfy bed with heavenly duvet and the fluffiest warmed towels ever! Exquisitely cooked scallops and delicately battered fish...

My wife & I visited the New Inn after a recommendation from out B&B host in Portloe. We had a drink & a meal. Steak was one of the best I have had for a few years & the Sea Bass was perfect. The proprietor was more than happy to help book a cab for us after although we didn't...

Had an evening meal here whilst staying in Veryan. The steak was beautiful, cooked to perfection and tasted great. Certainly recommend the steak. Don't bother with the lasagne though, the kids liked it but my partner did not. It's pre packed and microwaved.

Spent an evening with friends at the New inn food and atmosphere wonderful !! Spot on ! I had the fresh Hake and vegetables in fact the 6 of us all had different dishes and everyone was happy !! Thought bread and butter pudding could of been more traditional it looked more like the sticky toffee pudding only little criticism

We ate on 6 of the 7 nights we were staying in Veryan, the meals were tasty well presented. I think between the 4 of us we went through quite a lot of the choices. the fish was especially good. The New Inn is still obviously a local pub which adds to the lovely atmosphere.

Came 2 years ago and found the food fantastic with a lovely welcome. Came this time and found different faces, welcome ok but the food was very poor. We also heard tables around us say that the food was average or below. What a shame, we came here for a break and came straight here as we knew it would...

From the moment you enter this lovely Inn you become part of the family. Colin Suzanne and Chloe really know their craft. The beer is rated as better kept than at the Brewery outlet and really brings out the best of St Austel. The food is served piping hot from a menu that has different specials each day and is...

Stayed here for a night as part of the SW Coastal Path walk. It's 20 minutes from the coastal path but well worth the diversion. Typical small English pub with comfortable rooms and good food. Service couldn't be faulted - very warm welcome and good attention to requirements. The food was delicious, especially the local fish. Would definitely return.

Our annual Sunday lunch trip to the New Inn did not disappoint. We asked for our favourite table ( not a problem ) a lovely friendly warm atmosphere. The Sunday lunches were very tasty with perfectly cooked vegetables. My husband says a good pint of well cared for ale too. We will definitely be back next year, if not sooner.
