We had an unplanned stay here the other night wanting to get off the road before dark and all those kangaroos. We were met by Ellen, who was very helpful and good to chat with and although there are some negative comments on here, I'd just like to say you get back what you put out. The motel is old....

My wife and I have been staying here, every second year, for 18 years now. Each visit sees the place get a little bit better. Lovely owners, comfortable, clean and in-expensive accommodation. A good restaurant is attached for a hearty breakfast or evening dinner but if you'd rather, just a block away is the RSL club for an evening meal....

It's been said previously - this is a typical 60's style motel that has been somewhat updated. We were actually surprised that the rooms were as good as they are judging on appearances from the outside. It's clean. Beds are hard but with plenty of blankets (no doonas). Heaters are noisy old electric fan style on the wall that operate...

Bombala is only a small town with not much choice of accommodation so the price was set a little high for the age of the motel. It was a typical 1950/60 one level motel. There was nothing outstanding about the rooms; they were clean and maintained although the wall heater did not work. We needed to use the noisy Air...

There is not a lot to say that is not in my title review, the motel is in much need of updating in every aspect. While the heater worked it was loud. The room we were in had a very very uncomfortable bed, old electric blanket which we decided better not to use. TV did not work properly so turned...

We needed to stay overnight and this was just the right choice. We found the hosts very approachable and friendly. We got a front room and were not kept awake at all. The room was clean and comfortable - something that we enjoyed, rather than pay more for not much more comfort. A few rooms with microwaves would be advantageous....

The reviews of this place weren't brilliant and we too experienced a rather frosty greeting but once we'd got to know the owner she was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms weren't de luxe by any standards but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was very good. Leave by the right hand ramp unless you're in an SUV. We...

Stayed for 3 weeks at the Maneroo for work. Breakfast was fine and you could charge back from the local RSL. Bed was hard, but the room had good heating and an electric blanket, which is needed for this time of year. Accommodation was fine considering there isn't much choice in the town. No Wi-Fi tho, which does help when...

Travelling back from Sydney to East Gippsland & decided that rather do the night drive with the 'roos & Easter long weekend traffic we would stop overnight in Bombala. We had not booked ahead and upon arrival saw many cars & motorbikes already parked in front of rooms we were unsure that we would even be able to stay. Thankfully...

The lady at the desk was hard to understand and took a long time to decide even if she had a room available. Charged us $130.00 !!! for a double room. The room was very ordinary to say the least and not particulary clean. The television was not working, and the aerial wire on the back of it was just...
