Briars Country Lodge Had trouble finding suitable Accommodation in the area and ended up having to take a 3 bed room apartment. The apartment is upstairs above reception (not suitable for disabled guests). All other units are on the ground floor. The apartment is nice, spacious, fully self contained, with platinum level Foxtel. The only negative comment I would make...

Don't go here if you are expecting a peaceful quite stay the accommodation is next to their function center and the music thumped away until the early hours both nights we stayed and then there was the loud party goers smoking and yelling just outside our room. After bring staffs attention to the noise following the first nights lack of...

The staff here were excellent and offered first class service, nothing was too much trouble for them. The grounds surrounding the Inn were kept in very good condition and very pleasing, so much so I felt I was in an English estate. The room was very clean and well furnished with a table and two chairs, lounge, 2 king sized...

The room was quite spacious and comfortable with a couch(pull out bed) and a small table and chairs. There were also a toaster, kettle, and crockery. The room gave a nice outlook on the lawn and lake. We stayed there to attend the Brigadoon Scottish Highland Gathering. An ideal location if Bundanoon accommodation is booked out. It is a 25...

Perfect overnight (or longer) accomodation to explore the Southern Highlands. A small distance from the centre of Bowral (car required) Casual, inexpensive and quiet. Lovely grounds Comfortable bed, fantastic shower (lots of hot water). Would recommend for its price, cleanliness and general comfortability.

We stayed overnight for a wedding - rooms have a nice outlook onto the grounds and pond. Comfy king size bed and also a sofa bed. Not much room to move if you need to use the sofa bed. Rooms are clean, a little dated but nice! Staff on check in and out were lovely.

I visited Briars last Tuesday for lunch. It was the first time for my accompanying guest. I've always loved Briars and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the new menu. I can highly recommend (as a vegetarian) the Roasted Pumpkin & Caviar d' Aubergine. So nice to have a choice other than pasta or rice based dishes. I'm...

Briar's should leave the café side of their business alone and concentrate on what they are good at. We have visited Briar's for afternoon coffee and both the service and coffee were woeful. We also visited on a separate occasion for lunch. The food was amazing, but they needed more wait-staff badly.

The Restaurant here (Briar's Inn) was previously a solid and exceptional place to eat. The latest experience indicates that the new owners do not have the same quality and service class as the previous owners held. The food (such as it is) is served cold, the service is lacklustre and the excuses pile on top of each other. And then,...

I recently stayed at the Briars whilst travelling for work. It was a pleasant change from the sterile motels I would normally stay at. Although the rooms and bathrooms are a little dated decor wise, the view and the tranquility more than make up for it!!. The rooms were comfortable and clean and for a business trip lacked for nothing....
