We stayed at Berida Manor last night, having booked a couple of months ago. Reading the reviews of the last few weeks made us approach our stay there with great trepidation. However, it proved to be quite a pleasant stay. The room was very spacious and had plenty of storage. While the decor was somewhat iffy, (furniture, lights and fittings...

It was the heated indoor swimming pool that helped make the decision for us to stay at Berida Manor for a quick business trip to the Southern Highlands. On first arrival, the hotel looks impressive, with its old facade and lovely gardens. The front car park was full, so we drove around the back, slowly, avoiding wide and deep craters...

I had originally booked the room for a date in early December which was for my partner and I to have a short couples getaway- the photos on the website and the majority of reviews painted a very good picture and we were looking forward to a relaxing time at the manor. I later had to cancel the date and...

We stayed in room 50. Renovations complete in this room making our stay wonderful. Very comfortable bed, beautiful spongy carpet, great little bathroom and tasteful styling of the room. We didn't use any of the facilities as we were only staying after a wedding nearby. Staff in arrival were very helpful as they knew we were very time pressed. I...

Room was nice with air conditioning. Although toilet is not positioned well in the bathroom as it is front of the hand basin and is quite tricky to brush your teeth etc. Water was not hot in the morning whilst I had a shower. Staff was great when checking in and out but was not advised about WiFi lasting for...

Our Room 40 had a major leak on the floor outside the bathroom which I advised and showed the Receptionist. The Pot holes around the property were disgraceful and there were no "Disability Parking" for an elderly Aunt I had with me. Pool area old and needs updating urgently. In general it needs a lot of TLC. I wouldn't stay...

My husband and I stayed for one night while passing through. Originally we took the king suite which was very large but the blinds were very sheer so I asked if there was another room with thicker curtains so I could get a sleep in (making the most of a kid free weekend !!) the staff were amazing, very pleasant...

Overpriced in its current condition. The hotel is undergoing renovations. Rooms are shabby chic but also a bit dirty and mouldy in places. Booked for the pool facilities only to find that a swimming school operates there from 9.30-5pm so had limited access to half a lane - not what you expect in a hotel. Location is good and with...

We stayed at the Berida Manor overnight I was nearly going to cancel our stay after reading some reviews but so glad i listened to my instincts. It is obvious there is renovations happening. We had room 46 which has been renovated and had a very comfortable bed and was lovely and cool with a air conditioner. I found the...

We stayed for two nights at this atmospheric manor house hotel. In the process of an upgrade, I feel sure it will get better. But, in the meantime, it's a bit half half - with dark red carpet and an Olde Worlde feel to it. Looks like a few quick fixes are in place and I'd like to return when...
