Good old fashioned country fare. Large air conditioned dining room with table service in corner pub. Street parking as town not very busy. Pleasant staff and reasonable prices. Other pub and restaurants in Dungog also.

Visited for dinner, as we were staying in the area overnight, and regret not going elsewhere. My husband ordered scotch fillet with Dianne sauce. What came out can only be described as white sauce with a few peppercorns through it. (He hates white sauce) it even tasted just like a white sauce should taste....when he complained the lady he spoke...

We visited with friends at the end of the busy Dungog Festival and were very pleased with the friendly efficiency of the staff and the quality of the food. There were many tasty sounding dishes on the menu. Each of our party of 4 enjoyed their meal and the meals were reasonably priced. This historic pub has over 100 years...

Old fashion service that I'd detour for anytime. Endup stopping here on way to Monkeria to go to the toilet & decided on a quick drink and found it to be an old but fun relaxing atmosphere and it was very clean and staff were extremely friendly. I would stop here again and if your in the area you should...

Due to the Settlers Arms not cooking full dinners on a Monday they recommended the Bank Hotel Bistro. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and a good old Chicken Schnitzel did it for me. Service was quick and we found the Bistro busier on departure than arrival. A good feed for the money !

Do you remember that old road-safety ad on TV - the one where two guys are travelling down a country road, lose attention for a moment and nearly crash? The passenger says ‘Geez man, not a good place to crash!’ and the driver replies ‘IS there a good place to crash?’ The punchline? ‘Yeah - in bed!’ Or maybe, in...

On Sunday 18 January about midday there was a 5-10 minute wait every time anyone wanted to get bar service due to only one person being employed at the bar and then being called away to answer the phone and do other duties.
