Had the most wonderful food and wine, weather was perfect. the staff at the hotel was excellent. at the bar they even gave us special attention with our cocktails. we plan to have another visit with our husbands in November. we share... If you just want somewhere clean with a good bed this is fine. Breakfast downstairs, which was good, is included with the tarrif. Most of the staff were really nice people. The negatives: the room is extremely small. Our room was over the main part of the pub. The noise of bands playing meant no sleep before midnight, probably not... More

Clean room in local pub As accommodation is nearly always full in Griffith i booked ahead but could only get accommodation at the pub. On a sunday night the pub had no meals although the menu looked nice. Good security and nice basic rooms. Friendly staff and free cooked brekky in the morning. The stairs are a killer though so... Ate here twice with a group of friends. Drinks selection is great and reasonably priced. Dinner-well the servings are always massive. Quality - average. Schnitzel was ok. Massive sides and gravy. Porterhouse - rare was good quality was not bad. I tried to go medium rare and the meat quality went significantly low. The meat was chewy and fatty. They... More

Centrally located and the rooms are modern with ensuites so it's like staying in a motel but with the character of a pub. I found the single bed a bit hard for my liking but others may not. The common room with complimentary tea & coffee and balcony are great for catching up with other guests/friends. Breakfast is included and... More

Passed through Griffith and looked for a lunch stop. After being treated badly at the Area Hotel (and no meals) we headed to the Victoria. Great decision. Decor is classy. Staff were bright and bubbly and the lunch was delicious. Certainly recommend this as a place to come for a good time and where you get treated like a local... More

Nicely renovated old pub. Huge hallways and lots of stairs. Almost no off street parking and access to rooms from back is via a fire escape. Not idesl when dealung with luggage. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was nice each morning. Very limited facilities and space in rooms for the price.

We have eaten there twice recently and was very happy both times. There is a good range of meals in price and varying appetites, light meals are available through to full on surf and turf. Meals are delicious, the veggies are pretty good and love their Dianne gravy. The service is ok, they get run off their feet sometimes so... More

Decided to have lunch as we were passing through Griffith. I ordered Chicken Schnitzel, salad and pepper sauce. If i wanted chips it was an extra $3 which is cheeky so I went without. It wasn't the $3 it was the principal!!! The pepper sauce was nice, the schnitzel was a bit chewy and the salad was delicious. My wife... More

My wife and I decided to have dinner in the Vic last night. Underwhelmed would be correct. Paid $53 for 1 x lamb shanks and 1x lamb cutlets and chips. For $27 I was advised that you either have chips or veggies, not both. I chose chips. The cutlets whilst ok were cut on the thin side that led to... More
