I booked the hotel before reading the reviews, I was a bit worried. Upon arrival we were extremely happy with the view over Port Stephens from our adequate balcony (3rd floor). There was a pool and a spa out the front which appeared to be well managed and definitely well patronised. The room was large and the queen bed comfortable....

Great location overlooking marina. Rooms could do with an upgrade but are comfortable. Definitely not a "resort". Under 5 minute walk to town centre and marina. Restaurant offers breakfast (all you can eat for $15) and dinner (3 course $35 or 2 course$28). Was very impressed with dinner - food was delicious. They had just updated the menu with a...

We decided to stopover in Nelson Bay on our way down south as we have stayed in this town before and really like the place. For no particular reason we decided to see if the Marina Resort had any vacancies. We spoke to the receptionist who was quite pleasant and helpful and offered us a family room for the two...

Hotel was in poor state. We ordered a cream brulee for room service. When it got there it was a lump of custard on a plate with cream /icecream and 1 strawberry. I said this is not a creme brulee They said yes it is we have no blow torch On leaving the next day the receptionist never mentioned the...

This place was old and dated, although in a fairly good location but not a "resort". The rooms were old, the food was average (we only had breakfast as the dinner menu did not look inviting at all). It is really in need of huge renovations.

It was just what we needed for a place to sleep overnight to go on an early morning dolphin trip and then check out. The room was clean and comfortable, had decent air conditioning, free parking, easy walking distance to the marina, an extra hour free for checkout. No mould, hairs, roaches or cracked tiles. Thank goodness there are places...

We should have known the hotel sign when lit up at night had one letter not working. The rooms were tired and looked like they hadn't been touched since the 80's in fact, the whole place looked neglected. Outside there were fish ponds that were filthy and I have no idea how fish survived in them. It had a swimming...

Even though this hotel is not a 4 or 5 star accommodation, we were very happy to stay here a few days. Very good location. The view of the marina from our balcony was lovely and so were the surrounding grounds. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we required. There was a laundry and also...

My family & I spent the last 2 days here. The accomodation was basic. While the room & fixtures were dated the pricing was reflective of This in comparison to other accommodation in the area. The location is good 5min walk to town & the Marina. The View was ok looking over the Marina & bay past the units across...

We slept there last Wednesday 5 October 2016. We arrived late and left early. We found that it was conveniently located and of an easy access. We had no particular reasons to complain about apart that it was over priced given its ageing conditions and furnitures, its narrow double bed, a TV that was not working properly, and a very...
