First impressions do not count!!! It looks old and tired from the front. We had a harbour view room. It was lovely. Room was clean and the bed very comfortable . A very pleasant stay! Will definitely return!

The motel was good because it was close to the Marina. The room had all we needed, a bed and a shower. However, the bed was quite uncomfortable, it was only a double and sagged in the middle. I woke up feeling very sore from sleeping in a position that I had to move into because the bed was uncomfortable....

Location looks impressive and views are good. The room was large. But that is about where the good news stops. This property was probably impressive at one point in time - maybe back in the 60s or 70s, but now it is dated and tired. Bare brick walls, worn bedspreads, dated and broken appliances, power points not working....staff appearing disinterested...

Arrived Friday afternoon on the hottest day of the year, 40 degrees. Reception staff were great, especially when having to explain why the pool was closed. (not their fault Council was supposed to be there on the friday to ok upgrade but never showed up & they couldn't allow it to be used until council okayed it). Room was large...

A last minute overnight fly in for a funeral saw me make an online booking here. My request for a late night check in was handled efficiently and I was offered a complimentary room upgrade with water views. I arrived at 10pm and as arranged my key was accessible with a safe code and I proceeded to the first floor...

In its heyday, this property was probably quite impressive. The two most important improvements needed are new carpets and bed skirts. Those alone would make the spacious rooms look better. Next, the lobby is in drastic need of a makeover as is the lift. Located in a garden setting up on a small hill, the views from the front rooms...

Lovely reception staff, willing to assist with anything even a chat if you've been stuck in a car chatting to yourself for 4 hrs! Clean rooms!! Stunning views, comfy beds, at this price what more can you ask for?!

The location and views are unbeatable and for $200 for a family for 4, good value. The place is very tired and in need of an overhaul, but considering the cost of other accommodation, it is very good for a night. It is a 5 min walk to the shops and the waterfront with lots of eateries. I couldn't find...

It is situated at a great location - at the heart of Nelson bay and has a good view of the bay. Staff were well mannered. Unfortunately, the hotel only provided the guests with 5mb of free wifi, how am I supposed to use that? Overall, the experience was average.

Close to town, marina. Plenty of parking. Units tired and need updating. We stayed one bedroom unit on fourth floor so excellent view of harbour and marina. Furnishings need to be upgraded. Next to no cultery supplied. Reasonably clean but dated. In its time it would have quite flash and needs upgrading today's standards. No wine glasses, only two glasses...
