2 night stay so we could go whale watching. The room is dated and I have not seen a television like that since my children lived at home,a small boxy thing. The aircon was a box unit and noisy, could hear the neighbours a/c units on at night as well.Shower hot water in the morning takes about 5 mins to kick in....

I only had one night in this hotel however it did seem very tired and needed a facelift. The rooms were very clean and the internet did work well and fairly fast. The staff were friendly and the price was ok. I did have a beautiful view and the sunrise was the best.

Comfortable venue - however very tired. Rooms clean, but old and smelt like typical old motel room. Bottleshop was disgraceful - coolroom not working, messy, disorganised. Service was pleasant however.

The main reason. I booked was because of the reviews saying that birds had visited people's balconies at this hotel. My daughter loves animals an in all honesty feeding the lorikeets here was the highlight for her. While dated this really was a lovely place to stay. The grounds here are absolutely beautiful and the view of the water second...

The stay was comfortable and clean. Although somewhat dated, the room was comfortable and clean. Great views and location! Would be great if wifi and some modern conviences added to the room eg. TV/Radio

This hotel is very dated, the mattresses looked like they had not been updated since the 70's and they still have bedspreads which look very old and very unhygienic. Most of the channels on the television were fuzzy, the fridge was ancient with rust all over it. The hand soap container in the bathroom fell out of its casing every...

We had a recent w-end trip from Sydney to Nelson Bay for whale-watching, which was excellent. Saw many dolphins too. Re accomodation, I am a member of Accor Advantage Plus (a hotel group which includes Novotel, etc) and Ibis Styles Port Stephens Salamander Shores was the only hotel in that area which comes under that umbrella of hotels. I used...

My family stayed in a beautiful, comfortable, clean room. The view was amazing. We layed in bed watching the sunrise over the ocean. Kids loved the spa. We were upgraded with our Groupon voucher which included a daily buffet breakfast and a bottle of wine on arrival. Amazing inclusions for the price. The staff were so friendly and would do...
