Great for a couple of nights, room is dated but room was a good size and bed comfy. There is no reception so not sure what you would do if you had a problem. We found it very strange that we had a list of things to do before checking out. Room had to go back to how it was when you walked in. Had to take own rubbish to the bins in car park and wash and dry our crockery and cups. Location is good and in the middle of town so easy to walk to almost everything.

Went to front door at 5.45pm and reception was shut. Knocked on the door and looked about but no one around. Sign on front wall suggesting to ring between 1pm and 9pm. Rang the number a couple of times and went to answering service. Why offer accommodation in holiday area and not open... Wont be going back

We'd visited Hyams Beach and were heading onto Canberra, so decided to spot off here as the motel was much cheaper than other options back at Hyams. They left a key out so we never interacted with any staff beyond a voicemail i received while i was driving to say the key would be left out for me. It's a very quiet area, with a pub and bottle shop next door, a cafe across the road, and a pizza takeaway and a few other things up the road. The room was good and clean, as was the bathroom. We bought a pizza from up the road and two bottles of beer from the bottle shop next door, then used the plates etc within the room. It was perfect for the stopover we were after, and it didn't cost a fortune like some other places. No complaints

Decor a bit dated, however bed comfortable, clean linen, clean bathroom, next door to tavern but noise not an issue when room door closed for the night. Only issue is how loud the air conditioner in room was however happy to be comfortable rather than hot and sweaty...

The Sussex Inlet appears to date from the seventies and is in need of an update. That doesn’t stop them charging what would get you a luxury hotel room in Europe. The Wifi only worked outside the room. For dinner we ended up at the RSL Club across the road which has a very imaginative Thai menu. It was a very narrow bed and we did not sleep well.
