As the name implies, this used to be a cork factory, and it's a series of buildings rather than a single structure. Among the charming aspects are exposed brick walls, beam and plank ceilings, a real wooden staircase, and a very open feel. I'm guessing...More
The hotel is different and the room we stayed in was on the first floor so we did not get the beamed ceilings. The room itself was very clean and updated. We only stayed one night but stopped in the bar and the bartender was...More
My husband booked a room here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. He informed the hotel that this was a get away for our anniversary and requested a room on an upper floor away from any elevators, in a quiet area of the hotel. None of...More
We stayed here for a vacation, based on previous reviews. The converted cork factory has unusual aspics to it, most of them positive. The lobby is inviting. Our reservation was promptly taken care of upon arrival The room is nice sized with a lovely modern...More
The Cork Factory Hotel is a unique place to stay in Lancaster. Formerly an actual factory, the decor features cork wallpaper, brick interiors in the rooms, and high ceilings with a network of pipes. The furniture is modern and very comfortable, especially the beds. There...More

There are rooms on the first floor. The best and most quiet rooms are on the top floor. ( 4th in the main building). All the lower rooms you will hear the floor boards squeak above you, if the guest above you stay up late. Its part of the charm of this hotel, say the staff.

Thank you all for your interest and kind words regarding Cork Factory Hotel's comfort and our outstanding sleep experience. We understand that great customer service begins with the simplest of amenities: a great nights' sleep!
Cork Factory Hotel originally furnished it's guest rooms with mattresses and pillows manufactured by White Dove Mattress Company in Canton, OH. The specific model in all of our guest rooms is the Medallion II Plush Firm, Double-Sided Pillow Top Mattress. It is my understanding that this particular model is not available direct to consumer, though the sales rep there tells me that the have another, very similar model that can be purchased from White Dove Mattress directly, and shipped anywhere in the world!
Of course, due to the regular wear and tear of normal occupancy throughout the year, there have been some replacements made to a select rooms throughout the property. Most replacement mattresses were Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid Series Model.
Please feel free to contact me directly if there are any additional questions or concerns. Once again, thank you for patronizing Cork Factory Hotel, and our comfortable beds will be waiting upon your next visit to Lancaster!
