At first we thought we would only need to stay a week or two but we ended up staying here for 6 weeks while we waited for the house we were buying to be ready. It was a nice experience. The staff are very friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily.

Stayed here for an acting gig Oct. 28th up the road. Owner greeted me on arrival, very friendly. Room was absolutely spotless. Little details that are really well thought out, like a light switch above the bed, new flat screen TVs, microwave and mini fridge. Wifi. And plumbing is an issue with a lot of these road-side motels. Not here!... More

Great place to stay just outside of the charming town of Jim Thorpe. The manager was so great about giving us an AARP discount and letting us have a coffee maker in our room even though it was not supplied in our room as standard. I love the way the sun shone in our room (#44) and we could look... More

I stayed at the Mahoning hotel with my husband and another couple. The rooms were very clean although they were small. The owner, Bill was very friendly as was his nightnight desk manager. There is always free coffee and juice and milk available in the lobby. The condition of the motel is dated but still very clean. The morning contentinal... More

Friendly, kind receptionist. My room was in back and very quiet. Standard size room, tastefully decorated and clean. Clean bathroom, shower only. Flat screen TV, fridge, microwave. Continental bkfst. $65; 5 miles from Jim Thorpe. Would avoid restaurant next door.

After much research, we booked here for one night because nothing was available in Jim Thorpe or at the Hampton or Country Inn and Suites. It was better than expected. Reminds me of a little family owned place at the shore. Clean. Some updates recently. Furniture worn but beds, mattresses and headboards were very good. Some tile in bathroom is... More

Beware of this establishment. Except for the friendly check-in staff, it was all downhill after that. The room had an all-pervasive horrible, musky smell that permeated everything. At first glance, the room appeared to be neat and clean, but finding a hair from a personal area of one's body on the sink upon arrival, was totally unacceptable. To the owner's... More

This motel was well situated for our needs. Room was clean and acceptable. Staff is great, left my phone charger and they found it and are saving it for me. Thought the pricing was excessive, but it was New Years Eve sooo!! Would stay again but they need to consider a pricing that makes sense for seniors, return customers and... More

This place , long , long ago was nice. Now, with bigger, better hotels a short drive away I will gladly pay the extra $10-$20 a night to not stay here. Service has dropped off from friendly to indifferent. Water is often inconsistent. Noises clink and clank in the walls keeping me awake. No thank you. I will happily stay... More

This place looks extremely scary. It isn't clean, the air conditioner barely worked. When asked if we could move to a room with a working air conditioner, we were told to leave the door open. The beds were torturous, and we either had to be hot or worry all night with the door open. This was the single place in... More
