My family and I stayed at Hotel Fauchere for week during a business trip. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere and the staff is very attentive. Every night, the staff left cookies and milk for us along with a bedtime story. My daughter wanted to roast some marshmallows and the staff prepared a fire for us in the garden. We...

Regarding reviews of this hotel we find it repulsive that anyone who has stayed at any Relais would even consider giving this hotel a grade. We arrived on a weekend and after checking in went for lunch waiting forever to be given water on the outside porch. To add insult to innury after ordering they brought the wrong order. We...

I wish this guest had said something to either of the owners (one or the other of us was present all last weekend) or to any of the management staff about their dissatisfaction while they were at the hotel. What they describe is unfortunate and, for us, very unusual, as reflected in our more typical reviews. But when things do...

This is such a lovely property. They have very cute rooms with great bathrooms. Also the restaurant is truly outstanding. The staff could not be more friendly. I would highly highly recommend the Hotel Fauchere. You will not be disappointed.

We stopped in Milford during a day trip to the area and stopped at the Hotel Fouchere for breakfast on the patio. Food and service were great. I had a fantastic egg white omelet wi kale and feta. My husband had yoghurt and fruit plate - best yoghurt ever! They mix it with vanilla pod, cream, and other yummy stuff...beautifully...

Extremely attentive staff, nice rooms, excellent food. We really enjoyed our stay for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend. The manager was very helpful in suggesting things to do and providing information. All the food is amazing and almost all local. Definitely a perfect place for an escape from NYC.

Myself, my friend and her dog stayed at the Fauchere for a nice long weekend. The place was great and the staff was soooo friendly. They had dog biscuits and bowls waiting in the room for the dog, who was just beside himself with the friendliness of the staff (and other patrons). And the food (and drinks) were outstanding. While...

Excellent service. Everything from a nice glass of wine while checking in to the server bringing me a blanket because I was cold on the porch and he wasn't able to turn off the fan. The room was tiny. That's a downside and we were in a room 1 notch up from the standard I believe. The room was clean...

The Hotel Fauchere is housed in a beautiful building with a rich history. I stayed with my wife, son, and her parents for three nights earlier this month. We stayed during the week and were not told in advance that the fine dining Delmonico Room would be closed, but the food was so good at the Bar Louis that we...

We're very sorry you were disappointed concerning aspects of your stay. You are correct about the person who helped with your baggage; it was a maintenance person who typically does not interact with guests and needs some guidance to become a bit more gracious, which we will work on. The Delmonico Room experience is a tasting menu that typically takes...

Lovely touches were the fountain in the rear yard, the overall quality of restoration and furnishings, and the room upgrade. Being sent out because we were an hour early for check in, missing bedtime cookies, and beige rooms were a bit disappointing.

We are sorry your room wasn't ready for you early, but our changeover window is fairly small, especially when the hotel is busy. I hope you weren't "sent away," which isn't very hospitable, as you should have been offered a seat in the conservatory or front porch, or we could have held your baggage while you took a walk in...

If you are looking for an upscale, quiet getaway from the city, you have come to the right place. This fancy bed-and-breakfast was the perfect weekend trip for my husband and I, and Milford is the quintessential New England town with a population of only 1,500. The Hotel Fauchere serves fine dining options in their bar and restaurant, but don't...

“We have stayed in this hotel on several occasions and decided to stay in the compact room (#1) to save money. It's really not much smaller than the standard/premium room. We were warned that this room was right over the bar kitchen. Fortunately we didn't hear any noise from the bar, unfortunately this room seems like it's right over the furnace or boiler room and a few times during the evening the furnace/boiler would come on and hum loudly for about 10-15 minutes. So be warned if you want to stay in this room. ”
