The three guest rooms include custom-built shaker-style cabinetry (hand crafted by a local woodworking shop) in deep rich espresso tones, mixed with contemporary stainless steel hardware, creating a sophisticated contrast to the rustic planked walls and walnut toned hardwood flooring. All suites include a moveable 55” TV so you can enjoy inside or outside on your balcony, iPod dock, safe, a king size bed and a luxurious mattress and linens when it is time to rest. Bathrooms are designed to provide a spa-like experience, featuring walk-in showers with pebbled tile floors, sculptural tile accents, glass mosaic backsplashes and pristine white quartz countertops. Carriage House robes and slippers are available for your enjoyment, relaxation and purchase if you cannot leave without them. Our guest room toiletries are all locally sourced from New Hope's own Bridge Street Soap Company, who has helped us develop our signature Carriage House products. For your added convenience, you’ll find an in-room refridgerator, snack bar, and a coffee maker with an assortment of coffee, teas and hot chocolate.

We love this place. It was our second time here and we had room 14 both times. We loved the room. It’s an impeccably clean room and the next time we come we are going to stay in the 2 floor suite even though it’s just the two of us. The scenery between the river and Aquetong falls are amazing. The shared deck and parlor are so large no one is on top of you. We sat in the love seat by the falls and then proceeded to the lounge chairs and then to the very cushy table and fluffy chairs with our wine. I love looking at the Deck restaurant. There’s always something happening there. So many amenities in the room. From the local soap, body gel, shampoo, body cream, toothbrush and toothpaste as well as shaving cream and razor. I live that there is a fridge as well. Between here and The Ghost light Inn they will be the only place we stay. You do all of your check in at the Ghost Light Inn which was great. Looking forward to our next stay.

My husband and I, along with our standard poodle, stayed at Carriage House for two nights. We chose room #13 (the apartment) because we wanted a change of scenery but still stay mostly "at home." The apartment has a dream kitchen with high end appliances, cookware, cutlery and dishware. When I was told that it was fully stocked, they were not kidding! They even supply spices and oils. We brought our own food with a plan to cook a feast. My husband loves to cook and he enjoyed every bit of his time preparing our meals in that kitchen. The living room is comfortable and cozy (only bummer is that the fireplace was not working). The bedding was comfortable as well. The bathroom is lovely and spa-like. We loved that this place is super dog-friendly. Knowing that we were bringing our dog, the hotel set out dog bowls, a bed, blanket and treats for us. That was a sweet touch! Note that when you book this particular room, you get free parking right in front of the building. That was super convenient since we had several bags to lug inside.

We had taken the week off of work months ago hoping to go away to Aruba or Florida (someplace warm) and due to COVID Restrictions decided to stay local. After researching a number of possible locations we decided on New Hope PA. When we pulled in the town looked very cute and inviting and even though it was only 11:30am we decided to check in at the Front Desk (the Front Desk is located down the block at the Ghost Light Inn). Ashley was so inviting! They really made us feel at home immediately. Told us where our hotel was and took our number and said they would call us when the room was ready. After a couple hours of exploring we got the call. The Carriage House is Beautiful! All rooms have a water view and a small waterfall view. Which is amazing to wake up to with your morning coffee. The balcony comes equipped with two comfortable rocking chairs and a table. Inside there is a huge flat screen tv with sound bar, King Size Bed w/ Egyptian Cotton Sheets, Spa Bathroom, Coffee Maker with Freshly Ground Coffee and Robe w/ Slippers. Down Stairs features an indoor sitting area w/ fire place. Outdoor covered patio with loungers, outdoor couches and table. As you walk outside the patio there is a terrace overlooking the bridge and waterfall with additional seating and table. 10/10! Amazing Stay! We travel often and this is one of the if not the best hotels we have ever experienced. We are still here now and I was compelled to write the review. Actually thinking of adding an extra day 😀 Will def make this a new yearly Vacation Spot!

This was our first time overnight since February because of Covid. (Sept 27, Sunday) All trips were cancelled but this 1 night stay in Room #15, which is the corner room & ADA, for our 23rd anniversary. (We are in our 60’s, if that matters). This is a rare find, and a gem of a place. Boy, if the walls could talk. Read the history of this place on their website, and you will know what I mean...........part of the original wall was actually in our bathroom! Would book this same room again in a heartbeat in this quaint and artistic town. - everything was clean, but I still wiped surfaces with Clorox just in case. Never ever saw the people in Room #14, or Suite #13. There is an elevator. Our BALCONY overlooked not only the Aquatong Falls, but the little stream that runs into the Delaware River. You could see The Playhouse, the bridge, lights from Lambertville, and geese, ducks, squirrels, boats were right in your view. I’m not kidding - we thought we were in another country, not just an hour away from home. This is a “million-dollar” view. Have you ever slept on a “cloud”? Well, do it here. - There are a few COMMON AREAS: inside room with a fireplace; outside under a covered porch with sofas, tables, and 2 super comfy loungers: & outside close to the end with seats. - For dinner, we made reservations 2 weeks ahead at The Salt House in one of their 10 Cabanas. Amazing Plus & only 1 block. - the only issue, remember this is New Hope, is the PARKING. The suite gets both parking spots; so we had to park by the Playhouse and Ghost Light Inn at $20. They give you a dash sticker for your car. Since we didn’t want anyone driving or in our car - we unloaded at The Carriage House, hubby parked while I watched the luggage until he came back with the key; check-in is at The Ghost Light Inn. They will text you if you room is ready ahead of 3pm. We were able to get a noon checkout for the asking. - This spot is so perfect because you can walk everywhere. While definitely not cheap, we felt like this was our “happy place”. EATS: Ferry Market: high-end food vendors, brewery, winery BREAKFAST: Ferry Market, Fred’s, Riverhouse @ Odette’s DINNER: Salt House Cabanas, Marsha Browns, Mansion, Havana, Hamilton Grill in Lambertville, and Lambertville Station. TIPS: book way early, relax, bring a small car, a book, some wine if you imbibe, refrigerated food, your mask, an open mind. Check out the video on YouTube!!!!!!! Thanks for a wonderful memory - and loved the chocolate-covered cherries! Kudos to Kevin & Sherri for restoring this place with character, care & comfort!
