My husband & I decided to get away from NYC last minute and found vacancy at this charming place (they had one room left). The reception staff were very friendly and casual about our arrival. The place is an interesting old farmhouse, with a nice backyard. The room we stayed in was the attic which was more the size of... More

We stayed here in ??February 2016. We stayed in the bookcase room. The office was the first impression that we had. Not very clean. Old pamphlets had dust all over them. We had to call multiple times while standing inside the office before anyone even answered. I know the building is old(We also live in a very old home) But... More

Amazes me when someone has a complaint and doesn't address it until they leave the Inn and does so by using the Internet. This customer stayed 10 months ago and is now taking a moment to complain about dusty pamphlets and a linen stain. Someone has to question the motive of such a customer. Meanwhile we consistently get five stars... More

My partner and I made last-minute plans to go to New Hope for a weekend getaway. We found out about the Wishing Well Guesthouse by just browsing the LGBT page of the town's website. When we arrived at night, the first thing we noticed was a brightly-lit archway leading to stairs down into a wooded pathway behind the house (our... More

My husband and I did extensive research on B and Bs in New Hope. After seeing photos online, we made a reservation and confirmed a room for a Friday night at The Wishing Well called The Cathedral Room. We arrived and were put in the Chelsea room, a much smaller and much less attractive room. The inn manager, Jason, explained... More

Thank you for the fair review of the occurrence from last Friday. However, I don't agree with "bait and switch" as an appropriate title for this----seems like we were purposeful when you were clear that Jason and I made an honest mistake. And it is true that we generally do not accept one night stays during season for financial reasons... More

This rustic farmhouse is simply beautiful. I've stayed here several times and always find it difficult to depart. Dan and Jason are wonderful host, they always makes me feel like family! The breakfast is plentiful and Jason is always available for a good laugh and or a good eatery recommendation. GSoto

We stayed one night in the cathedral room. I have never stayed at a guest house so I didn't know what to expect. Jason greeted us warmly and showed us to our room. Eclectic style, super clean and very cozy would be how I describe the accommodations. Clean bathroom, comfy bed, very quiet. Breakfast at 9 am was the best.... More

Fabulous choice of rooms includes one hidden behind a bookcase! The common areas are comfy and cozy with a fireplace and many diversions for a cold winter's day or a rainy spring weekend. Breakfast is pure gold. Not a scrambled eggs fan, but these with the cream and such were delishiousness on a plate. The fresh-baked goods were perfect to... More

We had a wonderful time at Wishing Well! It was close enough for us to leave the car and walk to town, and had a wonderful ambiance that's hard to find nowadays. Jason and Daniel were so welcoming and warm, which really made the experience stand out for us. The guesthouse had a special historic feel to it, and had... More

“great website photos for choosing a room!”

“The 1st floor cathedral room is large and attractive and it has a useful desk alcove (if you wish to use a computer or do work). But, the room is adjacent to the breakfast dining area and you can hear all of the noise (& conversations) of the breakfast guests. Also, the room was cold--there seemed to be no way to control the thermostat in the room & the only heat source seemed to be the radiator in the bathroom. That being said, I loved the room (I just wish it had been a bit warmer).”

“Attic room is large and beautiful but lots of stairs. Blue room is smaller but with a big bathroom and equally cozy. The front room is out of the way of other guests.”
