If you are looking for wonderful quaint charm of a 1800's farm house the Wishing Well is a place you should visit. The Inn Keepers Dan and James are most attentive to all your wishes. I was running late getting there and they called and offered to help if I needed assistance. As it turns I did I got hopelessy lost...

We went for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We were treated like queens from the moment we arrived. James took on the challenge of my sugar free diet and knocked on the door with sugar free vanilla custard in tow. It was wonderful and thoughtful. The rest of the weekend wad more of the same. Dan and James even...

I wanted to book a nice getaway for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. After looking up places to stay and trying to find something quaint, charming, and affordable, I chose The Wishing Well Guesthouse. I'm very glad I chose to stay here, it more than surpassed my expectations and my boyfriend loved it just as much as I...

We just got back from a weekend stay and had a great time. From the moment we stepped into the Wishing Well, we were cheerfully greeted by the new inn keepers, James and Dan. They were so welcoming and considerate with lots of little touches that made our weekend getaway special. We especially enjoyed chatting with James and Dan and...

"Never judge a book by it's cover"... What this 200 year old farmhouse lacks in modern amenities, it certainly makes up in charm, ambiance and a comfy-cozy atmosphere that was totally unexpected. The new innkeepers, Dan & James, excel in making their guests feel welcomed and comfortable. The living room with working fireplace was ideal for our "happy hour" libations...

My family and I stayed in several rooms of this place in the summer and it was generally someplace I would avoid in the future. The overall condition is in disrepair and not clean, it is not mere age as asserted before. Assuming ownership is still the same, it is a fire hazard due to the cheap electric cords running...

This is an old review and reparations have been made to the room mentioned including refurbishing and electrical work that has made use of extension cords less necessary. The Wishing Well is a 185 year old farmhouse and is updated regularly in a labor of love. The innkeepers Daniel and James have an affection for the Inn and are doing...

My fiance' and I stayed at the Wishing Well last week. We had the opportunity to meet the 2 new Inn-keepers Dan and James. We reserved the "Green" room and signed up for the special Valentines Day brunch served to us in our room! I have seen some of the negative reviews on this site and must say, "Nothing of...

We paid a premium price for the Cathedral room which was a dump. Licenses and inspections are not doing their job at this place. Check out the wiring passing through the mail slot in the front office 2 cheap extension cords powered the entire room, with one of them going through a door jamb.(As in the door closed on the...

I am so sorry that these guests were not at the Wishing Well long enough to experience what others here have written. They arrived at midnight rather than their scheduled afternoon time, slept and left, apparently unhappy. They were not there long enough to see that extra wiring is temporarily present because of holiday decorating and to hear about the...

The innkeepers smoke in their portion of the house and it permeates the building. The house is poorly maintained and the smell of mold from leaks and the unvented dryer are overwhelming. The scented candles don't help.

“The 1st floor cathedral room is large and attractive and it has a useful desk alcove (if you wish to use a computer or do work). But, the room is adjacent to the breakfast dining area and you can hear all of the noise (& conversations) of the breakfast guests. Also, the room was cold--there seemed to be no way to control the thermostat in the room & the only heat source seemed to be the radiator in the bathroom. That being said, I loved the room (I just wish it had been a bit warmer).”
