Took my wife to New Hope to celebrate her birthday. After researching many places to stay I chose Porches and I'm very glad I did. The location is great, the room was comfortable and clean and Sean was absolutely great. Porches is lucky to have...More
Had a great night in Room 6. So refreshing to stay in a place that is far from the cookie-cutter, corporate vibe. Everything about this place is unique & interesting, yet none of the creature comforts are lacking. Friendly and accommodating staff--super nice to deal...More
This B&B was in a great location and within a half block of Bridge Street connecting New Hope and Lambertville. Our room, #7 had a loft with a TV and day bed. It was very nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. It also had porch...More

By coincidence, I just returned today from another fabulous stay at Porches and asked the owners your question. Room 11, which is in a separate building from the main house, is a lovely room that is ground level and has a seat in the shower. (I stayed in this room on a previous visit and loved it.) All of the beds in all of the rooms are high, however, so depending on the handicap, that might be an issue. There are a few steps (three or four) that must be climbed going into the main house where where breakfast is served on the porch in nice weather and in the dining room off season, but they will also deliver breakfast to your room upon request. I would suggest calling the management with more specific details about the handicap to ensure that Porches is an appropriate accommodation. It certainly is fabulous from all other perspectives!

Yes. We have ice buckets for your wine. We could (depending on how big whatever you wanted to keep cold) put your food in our refrigerator. However, we do lock the kitchen over night, so you would either have to get it before we leave for the evening or wait until the next morning. Hope this helps, Bob
