Red roof inn was horrible...sheet on bed inside out, yukky box spring, stained old pillowcases, filthy dirty floor, and rug. Black Mold in tub and shower curtain. Barely enough water coming from shower head. Debris behind dresser on floor. Red recluse spider on bathroom floor. One face cloth was on top of the shower curtain when we got there....never moved in three days...Nothing was dusted anywhere. Dead flies on the baseboard heaters. Thick ice buildup in the freezer...looked like a folded towel. Only clean thing in that motel room was the fresh towels in the bathroom daily. The filthy in this place is disturbing. What a DUMP! My advise....DON'T GO TO THIS HOTEL!!!!!!
Checked into room 137 on Friday September 21st, 2018. Woke up at 4AM to bed bugs crawling over body and face. Brought pillow case with bed bugs/blood to manager and demanded full refund. A few days later, while checking bedbugreports.com, saw that another person stayed in that same room on Sept 7th, 2018, and filed a report and they still gave us that room without cleaning it first! So now I'm making formal corporate complaints because this issue was not addressed even though it was reported 2 weeks prior and we were exposed to bed bugs.
I am embarrassed to say I even spent the night in this place. Even though it was posted as a non smoking room, it smelled like cigarettes. The room was dusty, the bed looked like someone had just laid on top of it, and there was an unknown substance on the picture above the bed. The bathroom door was moldy on the bottom, the tub had a moldy shower curtain and shower mat. There was hair in the tub drain. The toilet seat was broken. There were spiders in the corner of the shower. The bathroom vanity was peeling. The coffee maker had a used, moldy coffee pack inside and ants underneath. The towels were thin and I couldn’t tell if they were even clean. There was a very rusty tissue holder mounted on the wall. Even though we spent the night, I slept in my jeans, t shirt and a sweatshirt. The TV worked okay , but the internet was awful. I’m going to call the Palmyra Health Dept. tomorrow.…
Perfect place for us to put our heads down between Hershey adventures. Was concerned about cleanliness after reading reviews. Our room was fine!! Where else can you get 1 room with 3 double beds and free breakfast? The best part by far was the wonderful grandfather and grandson who run the motel! We would go back just to see them again. A trip to the pleasant past.
***IF YOU EVER SEE A SIGN AT A MOTEL THAT SAYS "NO REFUNDS" DO NOT CHECK IN WITHOUT SEEING ROOM FIRST!!!!!*** The Red Carpet Inn and Suite in Palmyra is not fit for farm animals. I have been in cleaner barns. The room had a foul odor. The carpet was unvacuumed. the Towel rack was falling off of the wall. When we pulled back the shower curtain several bugs began to scatter. The water from the tub came out brown. The sheets/Pillows were covered in a unnamed brown substance. I paid for a room that my family and I wouldn't stay in and they wouldn't give a refund because they had a sign posted in lobby. I will be contacting the Pennsylvania Health Department.
