This is truly a family place to take your kids for fishing. The food is always very good and you never walk away hungry. The folks that run the place and great. The place is old but updating all the time. The price is very reasonable. Shared bathrooms.

Buehler’s Idlewild Inn proved to be the perfect venue for celebrating my wife’s surprise 50th birthday party weekend with 18 of her closest East Coast friends. I had contacted Mary and Mark (the proprietors) about the farmhouse more than a year prior to the weekend I wanted to reserve after performing an exhaustive search for venues within a 3-hour drive...

The other reviews are spot on. Buehler's Idlewild offers families everything they could want in a relaxing vacation. The kids and bigger kids enjoyed the various activities including the lake, pool, large grass play area, game room, tennis court and farm. Also, the meals cooked up by Mark, Mary and company were great. They even set up a movie theater...

A wonderful place to spend with family and friends. A very relaxing pocono get away to sit back and relax at the pool with a beer or two while while Mark & Mary prepare three excellent meals. You even get dessert with lunch. Fishing, hiking, swimming and farm animals Buehler's Idlewild has it all. Can't wait to go back next...

An inexpensive way to spend quality time with family and friends, while relaxing and having three awesome meals cooked for you daily. Pond for fishing, pool for swimming and plenty of woods for hiking. Great food and great fun.

We had our family reunion at Beuhler's Idlewild inn. It was absolutely wonderful. The owners were very accommodating, the food was delicious and the location was beautiful. The kids could run around and enjoy the pool, game room and fishing. I couldn't ask for anything more!

Spent a week there with a couple of my friends. The place is situated a mile or so off the main road which runs around Lake Wallenpaupack. It is in an idyllic setting with late 1800's farm house, a spring house, and barn all situated next to an 11 acre pond. It has an in ground pool along with an...

We fell in love with Buehler's Idlewild Inn! The location is amazing but the food was even better! Mark and Mary and their entire staff were so warm and friendly! We only stayed one night but we can't wait to get a chance to go back! Thank you for a great time!

This farm in the Poconos near Lake Wallenpaupack provided the perfect spot for our family reunion. The kids were entertained with the lake, boats, fishing, swimming, games, and farm animals close by so the adults could find time to sit and talk or exercise. A projector was available so that we could watch family videos on a large screen. Had...

“Our room was clean and simple, no frills with a shared bath that was clean as well. This place is all about the location, atmosphere and FOOD!!!!”

“I liked the spring house--fewer people. Better bathroom access. Closer to pool and rec room (though the other rooms in the main house are not far).”
