The rooms are very spacious! Cleanliness was good. Desk staff super. Thank you Terri. You have to drive into the city to do things but you'll save a lot of money staying here. Parking is plentiful and easy. There is a pool and fitness room. Elevator.
This Comfort Inn is extremely nice. The check-in was quick and we got our room easily. The staff people were all very friendly and helpfull. They room was clean and everything worked well. Parking was especially good and the location is excellent if you are visiting Pittsurgh. You can be in downtown in less than 10 minutes. The breakfast was the first open buffet we have had at a hotel in 18 months. The had scambled eggs, sausage, fried potatoes cereals, waffles, fresh coffee, juice (but no fruit). If you want a full breakfast or other meal there is a decent restaurant that is a 5 minutes walk up Banksville Rd. We had a suite on the 4th floor back side which was very quiet and even had a view. We expect to be back whenever visiting Pittsburgh.
Booked hotel to break our ride from Chicago to New York into two. Just wanted to have a place to rest. What a wonderful surprise. We were provided with a huuuuuge room with two King beds, sofa bed, microwave, fridge and plenty of space. Very clean and comfortable. Mix of soft and firm pillows. Free breakfast (eggs, home fries, pastries). Front desk staff quite pleasant. Very reasonably priced snacks at front desk. Very close to the Pittsburgh overlook. 10 minute drive to the baseball and football stadiums. The only downside is that the sofa was a little beat up.
I’ve stayed at multiple Choice branded hotels and they range from excellent to never again. Room needs to be updated. Area didn't feel particularly safe. Breakfast was subpar. We’re heading back to Pittsburgh and definitely not staying here.
My husband and I webby to Pittsburgh from NC to see the Steelers play Baltimore (Boy, what a GAME & nail biter!!!) All of the hotel near anywhere the stadium was at least a $1000 for a decent hotel. I saw this hotel on Booking.com and saw that it was almost 5 stars & maybe a 10 minute Uber drive to downtown Pittsburgj. This hotel isn't in a "happening area" & you might even think this cast be right but this Hotel is VERY nice & for the $$ it is a steal!!!! Brandt who worked the front desk really good care of us & upgraded us because they double booked our King bed room, he gave us a suite with 2 double beds which was fine for us.... Brandt was SUPER nice & he made our stay even better :) We definitely will stay there again the next time we go to Pittsbugh!!! Gina B,, North Carolina…
I opted for a suite on this stay, and was rewarded with a room that's spacious and comfy. I am, however, at the end of my patience with post-covid shortcomings--having stayed at several hotels that provided the customary hot breakfast buffet, I will not downgrade this one for offering a paper bag with a frozen sausage biscuit in it. Perhaps nobody reads instructions but the thing is supposed to be thawed overnight in the fridge and then covered with a paper towel--neither of which are accessible in the room that I must vacate by 11. Happily there's a Denny's just down the road. They also are not making up rooms daily. In fact, when we checked in there was only one bath towel in the room--the management corrected it promptly when notified. I prefer not to have my room cleaned daily--it doesn't happen at home, after all. But it is a shortcoming. So, Choice Hotels and all you others--I travel again late next month, and if you don't provide the customary breakfast you'll be hearing about it in my review.…
The location of this hotel is perfect as a home base for a visit to Pittsburgh. Just outside the city it was super easy to get to with plenty of free parking. We felt like we were out of the city but close enough to get to and from any attraction we planned to visit. The hotel is well cared for and our room was in very good condition. Our Queen Suite was actually a room with two full (not queen) beds and a sofa bed. The pool was open and you had to make timed reservations. The water was cool, but the kids didn't mind. Breakfast was available each morning. It was kept behind the desk and you just had to ask for what you wanted. Muffins, fruit, and breakfast sandwiches. We wished there was a bit more variety such as yogurt and cereal. The problem with this hotel is the mixed clientele. Our second night was terrible. There was a large party til close to 1am. Very loud music, shouting, singing, etc. The walls are thin and probably the entire hotel was up all night. The morning greeted us with the very strong smell of pot up and down the hall. Our teenagers shook the whole thing off as amusing but young families and older adults might struggle with this environment. The staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. There is no way they didn't know about the party but probably felt they could do little short of calling the police. Despite all the positives, not sure we would return. There are other reviews that describe similar noise and partying on a regular basis. If this delightful hotel can't get this under control, they will not succeed.…
Huge room with two king beds; clean and comfortable beds seemed more like a 3 star hotel. Perfect size suite for families. No self serve breakfast; but a few options were available and stored behind the front desk. (Breakfast burrito, bagel breakfast sandwiches, muffins). Front desk female employee was nice and had a warm smile.
The site had a pool on the first floor. When you walk into the building all you can smell is chlorine. The décor of the room was dated with old furniture. We attempted to open the pull out bed and it was terrible. Stains all over the mattress. Who offers a room like this. Do better!!!!
Everything about this Comfort Inn is perfect. Everything you can think of for an amazing experience is there. The location-great! The rooms -5 stars!. You never really have to leave the building. They've thought of everything! The owner Nick, is awesome and amazing! Larry, is awesome and amazing! Terry and Jessica, are awesome and amazing ! I will stay there whenever I'm in Pittsburgh!
