They have changed this hotel to an extended stay hotel. I stayed here for 1 month from June to July in 2014. I have one private room with private bathroom. They offered me a microwave, a small refrigerator, hair dryer, towel, etc...as I requested. The price is reasonable. The owner is helpful and polite. Room is comfortable with house keeping...

I asked for a suite but was booked into an awkward and tiny room on the third floor. There were no drawers or shelves into which we could unpack. There was a minuscule closet. This wouldn't have been so annoying if the place was fully booked, but it was almost empty. Breakfast was minimal, and though the coffee was good...

I stayed at Sunnyledge on my last trip to Pittsburgh and although it was fine, I just wanted it to be be more special. They graciously upgraded me to a room on the third floor--and so I had a full sitting room, spacious bath, and a huge bedroom. I had the martini bar to myself in the evening. It was...

My wife and I stayed at the Sunnyledge hotel for a night this past weekend. The hotel is a beautiful former mansion built in 1888 for a wealthy Pittsburgh Physician. The hotel's location on 5th Ave was very convenient while visiting our daughter at Pitt. The sign out front advertised for a martini bar. The martini bar sign was the...

Having grown up in Pittsburgh, I've visited once or twice a year and saw the Sunnyledge emerge as an upscale bed and breakfast with a really fine restaurant. A couple of years after it opened, a friend and I had dinner there and loved it. I hadn't been to the city for three years, when I needed a hotel for...

I have not stayed at the hotel but will in the future. We stopped in when we saw the sign for the martini bar. There were four of us so we sampled a number of them and liked them all. It was Saturday evening and the owner was working the bar, we had a great conversation and will definitely be...

I am unsure of the recent negative reviews for this place because I loved it. I stayed here with my parents and son a couple of weeks ago. My son was graduating from CMU which was conveniently close to the hotel room. The staff was friendly and the hotel was beautiful. I highly recommend staying here.

I stayed at sunnyledge very recently and it was great! The staff were friendly and very eager to fulfill any request I had. I had a very tasty Raspberry Lemon martini made by Leslie, who also checked us in. The hotel is very small so he staff get to know you well. As said in previous reviews, location is great....

This is my second attempt at posting this but here goes: I think my stay might have been the deal of the year. $139 a night for a deluxe room right on the Carnegie Mellon campus and only steps from the downtown Shadyside and Oakland area. I think that was pretty good weekday rate for pittsburgh. Bed was comfortable room...

.Location, location, Shadyside/Oakland Near downtown location is Sunnylede Hotel's strength. It's an older property with minor issues but nothing fatal. I arrived early, a bit past 1 pm, check in was a breeze. My clean room was a comfy king corner room facing 5Th Ave and a side street. . Bathrooms are for one person at a time, towels and...
