The Priory is an historic inn on the North Shore of Pittsburgh. It is located in a somewhat depressed area, but offers an experience indoors that quickly makes you forget what's outdoors. A beautiful structure wonderfully renovated. I had a single room with what was called a twin bed. But it was more like a small full-size mattress and I...

We were back in Pittsburgh and again stayed in the wonderful Priory (which we reviewed several years ago). By chance we arrived unaware that our stay coincided with the Priory's "third Thursday" wine tasting dinner events. We were lucky enough to be able to join the event as it started, and it was a special treat, highly recommended. But, for...

My husband and I don't like chain restaurants or chain hotels (unless we have no choice.) We knew we wanted to visit Pittsburgh to go to the National Aviary (we are avid bird watchers.) I got online and searched for a hotel in the downtown area that was not a chain. This hotel popped up almost immediately. Of course I...

The hotel is located in a peaceful area, and has free parking slots. The hotel interior is nice, the staff was hospitable and helpful. Our room was nicely decorated and had a unique and great athmosphere. Really appreciated the free transfer to Pittsburgh downtown with a minivan.

As a fellow innkeeper, I tend to find myself being critical of other hotel/inn experiences. Well... I can assure anyone reading this review, that John Graf does it right! The Priory is quaint, yet upscale. Comfortable and inviting. Spotlessly clean. And ever-so accommodating to guest needs. (including the free shuttle ride to the Eagles Concert!!!). The walled courtyard was a...

We decided to take a short get away and see a baseball game. Our car battery went out,but the shuttle van here kept our trip going! The van driver John was excellent, pointing out unique places to go and to eat. We were even brought to the baseball game and picked up! We have such a high opinion of Pittsburgh now,and...

This hotel is not a chain hotel in the middle of the city with a large restaurant and bar. It is a quiet, boutique hotel that feels like a country inn that costs half what the large chain hotels would cost and the breakfast is free. The rooms are decent size and kept very clean as was the bathroom. The...

We stayed in a small but very comfortable suite on the first floor overlooking the enclosed courtyard garden. Across the street parking was free as was the shuttle that was available to drop you off at a museum or restaurant and pick you up when you're done. A decent complimentary breakfast is served which can be eaten in the courtyard...

Stayed for five nights. Walk to PNC Park to Warhol to downtown from comfortable accommodations and a good breakfast (included) which can be consumed outdoors in the hotel courtyard.or take the shuttle. It is in a city neighborhood which we found safe and walkable. It is a unique property and we have nothing but pleasant memories.

This was our second time staying at The Priory. This time we brought some good friends with us and they loved it as much as we did. Staff goes out of their way to be helpful and courteous. Great location for walking around plus there is a free shuttle to take you places that are too far to walk. Love...
