I recently spent a night at The Priory while in Pittsburgh on business. I was drawn to it based on favorable trip advisor reviews, its interesting history as a converted monastery, and its very reasonable price (around $200). I was very pleased with the property. Front desk service was friendly, my room (king bed, on the first floor) was clean...

We live about an hour out of Pittsburgh and wanted to get away for our anniversary but weren't able to go far. The Priory was perfect for us; the building is beautiful, and beautifully maintained. We had a king room overlooking the courtyard and loved it; the bar was delightful and our stay was very restful.

My wife's subordinate got married, so we made the trip to Pittsburgh. The reception was in the Grand Hall, which is gorgeous beyond belief. Those getting married, take note! We then stayed in the Priory. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, my wife, who grew in this area, said the grocery store down the block had off duty police officers...

My wife and I spent three nights at The Priory as part of her birthday celebration. Don’t think of the place as a traditional B&B, because it’s more like a small, boutique hotel. They appear to have sufficient staff to accommodate guests in forty or so rooms, which includes a very handy shuttle service. It provided on call pick-up at...

As others have noted, the Priory is a lovely old building in perhaps not the loveliest of Pittsburgh's neighborhoods. My husband and I found the staff to be helpful and friendly, our room was clean and comfortable, the daily breakfast was satisfactory, and we really liked the hotel's cozy bar and courtyard areas. I had a few quibbles with the...

We only stayed one night on the first leg of a 10-day vacation. The hotel is a former monastery which retains much of the architectural and historical detail. We stayed in the newer wing which has been replicated to match the older building. The rooms are much larger in the new wing. The Monks' Bar was charming with decent small...

When traveling to large American cities, I'm always on the lookout for unique lodging that doesn't cost an arm and a leg yet is located closely to the venues we want to see in that particular city. Being a baseball fan, our main destination for our trip to Pittsburgh was to see my favorite team, the Brewers, play the Pirates...

I am extremely disappointed with the service that this guest received, and I do offer my sincere apologies. Our staff is trained to greet and actively seek feedback from guests while they are at our facility. The idea is to create a comfortable, quiet and relaxing environment for our guests. Clearly, with regard to this particular interaction, we did not...

I accidentally locked my keys in my car and had to walk to my hotel. They helped me to call a locksmith. I am very grateful for that because it was a bad start to my vacation. The location was great with a terrific view of Pittsburgh's skyline. The hotel was also conveniently located near the Andy Warhol Museum, one...

We stayed here for four days over the holidays. It was the perfect place to be over Christmas. The staff were friendly, the hotel was romantic and elegant, and it was close to a number of places in Pittsburgh. The morning breakfast buffet was just right, and the tiny bar was fun with an interesting bartender. We'll be back.
