We stayed here in Emma's room for two nights--choosing this room as it has two double beds for 3 adults. Jeff answered questions when reserving the room, then checked in with us the day before and asked our arrival time. He offered directions as well. We got held up with family and he was nice enough to call and see...

Even though we live only three miles away,my wife has wanted to stay at the Inn for a long time. As an anniversary celebration we stayed in Mrs. Boggs room. The Inn is beautiful, wonderfully restored inside and out. Karl and Jeff are tremendous hosts, willing to help with any requests, truly making your stay wonderful. If you are looking...

We have just returned from our annual steelers game and as always enjoyed our stay at the Inn. This is an old mansion in the heart of Pittsburgh on the north shore, walking distance to Heinz field. We were greeted on our return by our smiling host Jeff, one of the owners. Ever so helpful. The room we had was...

I stayed here for a week in mid-November and it is without a doubt, the best B&B experience I've ever had. I was met by Jeff (one of the owners) on my arrival and he took me through the run of the place including giving me maps and tips about surrounding places to eat and visit. He also pointed out...

Great location with simple access to the GAP trail. Very nice rooms apart from the back rooms which are a bit dark with cramped washrooms. Great furnishings throughout. Excellent breakfast. The hosts are charming and very helpful with a very good knowledge of the local area. Good bike storage. Recommended.

We are a couple from Paris/ France and on our trip through Pennsylvania and Virginia, September 2014, we stayed 2 nights at this beautiful and very well kept place. Our room was spacious, elegant and very comfortable, the breakfast satisfying, the owners very kind and most helpful. If we happen to return to Pittsburgh - an attractive town by the...

We were attending a Tai Chi seminar at Allegheny General hospital and the seminar hotel was full when I went to reserve a room. I looked online and found this B&B nearby, actually closer than the hotel. My phone conversations with the owners were both pleasant. We only saw the hosts on check in as we were only their one...

Carl and Jeff helped me pull off a wonderful surprise for my wife on a milestone birthday. I'd read about the Inn on the Mexican War Streets in the Lonely Planet guide to Pennsylvania and the price was very competitive when compared to Pittsburgh's ridiculous downtown hotels. Carl booked us into the Red Room, agreed to provide champagne and directed...

This is a lovely old mansion that was well restored. Many antiques. Beautiful gardens outside. Quiet environment. Right across from the park with the National Aviary and the Buhl Planetarium; both great places to visit. It is within an easy 1 mile walk to the Heinz Field and PNC park. On main street so parking was right out front and...
