This was partially my fault for not booking sooner but I was charged double for late booking. Then on the website it says if you apply for a credit card you will save up to 300$ so when I applied and got approved I had no way of using that card so it was for nothing. Also they charge for early check in and parking. That she be included in the price. It was a great location though.
Stay away for couples ok for frat parties Very run down. CONS: There was moldy left over food in the fridge when we checked in after the room was supposedly cleaned. The rooms are run down. We had to put a shhet on the couches due to them being all stained up!!!!!!! PROS: The shower had teriffic water pressure and great location to PNC & Heinz
Room was dirty. Stains on pillows and linens. One trash can for the entire room with no liner. Location is fantastic. Parking was good. Room was just substandard. The staff at check in was fantastic. They interacted with the customers and were excited to be so busy. Overpriced for the room quality. I’m sure the price was increased due to the Elton John concert. Disappointed in the cleanliness of the room especially with COVID around still.
Went to Pittsburgh for a much needed fun trip with my daughter. Had a mouse in our room! No apology, no offer to comp, had to move to another room at 10 pm. Went to a room with a moldy shower curtain. So disappointing.
We stayed 2 nights, unfortunately service was not up to Hyatt standards. Upon checkin we were given Room 521, practically ON the interstate (see pic). I called the front desk and asked to be changed to a QUIET room away from the Interstate- reassigned to Room 513. It wasn’t any better, and was extremely loud with traffic all night long. We are both Explorists and felt the staff should have been more accommodating for our request of a Quiet Room. The room was clean, but in need of renovation, seemed a bit run down… I had called the hotel PRIOR to our stay to confirm daily housekeeping (right now this is being honored for Explorists). The agent argued my request, and after speaking with someone else (maybe a mgr) she agreed to clean my room. I confirmed upon arrival the room would be cleaned: bed made up, bathroom cleaned, replenished towels, etc. After being gone all day, we returned to our room that hadn’t been serviced except for 2 towels left on the ottoman (see pic). I’m tired of hearing the excuse of Covid- if you aren’t meeting basic cleaning requirements, then lower your price. I’ve stayed at several Hyatts during the last year, and ALL of them provided housekeeping when I requested it, but not this one. The only positive thing I can say is: the hotel is close to restaurants and the football and baseball stadiums (5min walk to PNC). The Andy Warhol Museum is close by, and it’s a 15min walk across the bridge to downtown.…
We had a great stay! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect with great customer service. We had close and easy access to Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park. We were close to downtown for business meetings. There are lots of great restaurants close by and just a great atmosphere on the riverfront on the North Shore!
From thin sheets, AC blasting into the bed, peeling ceiling with water damage and mold, nail clippings, and stains all over the sofa, I don’t think you need to hear anything else to not go here. It’s a costly price for low quality.
check in experience pathetic.. employee seemed to be very distracted.. could not wait for check in procure to be completed so go back on cell phone overall hotel is in a great location with other than check in was excellent.. check out was great employee very friendly
Great mid-range hotel in a great location near the stadiums, bars/restaurants and river walk. Clean and comfortable with a very accommodating staff. Great place to stay, especially for a ball game or special event near the river.
My family just checked out of the Pittsburgh North Shore hotel after a less than stellar stay. We arrived about 11:30pm on Sunday after driving from Detroit, and when we got into the room, we noted that there were no linens at all for the pull out bed. The room was booked for 2 adults and 2 childen, and I had done the online check at approximately 4pm earlier that the day, so it was clear that I would need to use the pull out. The only extra in the room was 1 pillow in the closet and when I inspected that, it looked as if there was an unwashed pillow case on it covered in makeup stains. We also found out that the toilet seat was broken, as when my 8 year old daughter went to sit to use it, the seat slid sharply and almost shot her onto the floor and the back of the seat flipped down and smacked her in the back of the head. My husband went down to the front desk to ask for linens and pillows for the bed, and to notify her that the toilet was broken. While he was able to obtain linens from her, three front desk lady said we couldn't get any more pillows because there was no housekeeping and nothing could be done about the toilet because there was no maintenance either. He said she was quite short and curt with him. It was now midnight and we were finding out that the kids weren't going to have a reasonable bed to sleep in. No options were offered to us, such a moving us to another room. As we settled in to try to get some rest, we noted the room was very run down, with wood side tables chipped and beaten up, brown water stains on the ceiling, and the glass side table to the pull out couch looked as if it had never been wiped down. We were disturbed enough by the state of our room that we chose to not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast because we were concerned about the cleanliness of the food station/preparation. My husband was eventually able to secure pillows for the second night of our stay the following day after having to ask again, but after explaining all the same concerns to the front desk lady, we were still not offered a new room or better accommodations, and it appears no one came to address the toilet, so using it was a problem every time. Hyatt is supposed to be a reputable hotel and name I can trust to book for my family, and it really fell short on what will likely be our only pass through Pittsburgh since we went out of our way during our road trip to visit this city. We quickly reported our concerns and issues as identified on site to give the opportunity to rectify the situation, and it was not handled during our stay.…
