So, while you won't get the walkaround urban feel (nothing really at street level except one place across the st) you ARE in walking distance of Pitt Campus, about a mile from Shadyside medical center and a shuttle ride to restaurants in Bloomfield and Downtown. Anyway, the real draw for us was the terrace, first to sit outside, second as...

I stayed here for 12 days with my small dogs and I was amazed at how pet friendly the hotel was. My room was clean and the kitchen was just perfect. Everything was there that I could need - including salt and pepper! And a bag of microwave popcorn. The dogs helped me with that. In back of the hotel,...

Great price of $115 a night. Good location to get to downtown, Pitt, and Lawrenceville area. Dog friendly so may not stay again unless dog is with us as I normally think of dog friendly hotels as not being as clean. Overall friendly staff and nice views from guest room.

Our first impression was that the layout of the parking garage and lobby were odd, but all that changed with the friendliness of the staff and the wonderful and comfortable rooms. The staff recommended a delicious restaurant for dinner in a fun neighborhood, which allowed us to sight see the city even though we were only there overnight. Breakfast was...

I have stayed in a number of Residence Inns and the hotel itself is standard for the brand. What sets it apart is the fine staff. From every point of contact I had a smile and a helpful hand. For example after I checked in, my room key would not work so I went down to the front desk and...

We stayed one night for a "Pitt" stop on our way to Washington DC. In comparison with other Residence Inn stays, this one is pretty middle of the road. Our room was oddly shaped so the TV was in an awkward place, though it could rotate, was not really conducive to viewing in bed or from the couch. Room was...

Visiting family near Shadyside, so wanted to be close, but also wanted a family suite. This place has good one-bedroom units with a kitchen that are good for a couple and young toddler. They provided a crib, and the place has a pool, so kids are all set. Breakfast is included, but don't expect much. This place isn't going to...

Stayed here recently for a wedding as we had some Marriott vouchers to use. The hotel is an older Residence Inn and in much need of a renovation. Carpets were stained, furniture nicked and plywood. Residence Inn's are great when traveling with families as they do have larger rooms and free breakfasts.

I have read about how old and terrible this hotel is here when I was booking a hotel. Decided to stay here because it's close to UPitt. I arrived very late after driving for 5 hrs. The front desk staff greeted me with a gift bag of bottled water and snacks. Very nice gesture. The room is old but very...
