Went to Pittsburgh on a college tour with my son. I picked this hotel because of price and somewhat close location to Carnegie Mellon Univ. While the location is good, the hotel is badly in need of repairs and renovating. Our room was large and comfortable, but the sliding glass door onto the balcony was single pane so there was...

All public areas and the lobby will be renovated this fall and winter. I hope you come and stay with us again. We're the most affordable hotel in the area! The lobby Is clean and inviting, but the elevators smell like rotting food as well as the hallways. The hotel Is dated but the carpeting and beds are new and very clean. Our room (416) had VERY roughly patched holes in the wall And a bad paint job (paint on doorknobs, tub, mirror.) The room was large though, and the...

We travelled to Pittsburgh for a concert and we were looking for a cheap hotel for the night. To be honest, the rating/ quality of the hotel did not matter to us as we weren't planning on being in the room that much. From the two star review on TripAdvisor, I was sort of expecting the worst, however, i was...

I can deal with dated as long as a room is clean and comfortable. But noisy is hard to deal with - I'm in room 201 and you can hear every noise coming from the street - lots of traffic with emergency vehicles mixed in and way worse is my noisy neighbors above us on their balcony or room who...

Thank you for your review. I apologize about the noise you encountered during your stay. The hotel is located in a very busy part of town and right off of a main road. I'm sorry you encountered noisy neighbors. Our overnight security guard could have helped quiet them down for you. I do see that the front desk staff was...

This has been our "go-to" place ever since our first "admit-weekend" trip to check out Carnegie Mellon three years ago. Our most recent trip was this April. Great location for both CMU and U Pitt parents or alum -- about a mile from both places. Very RELIABLE shuttle if you do not want to walk. Free parking. Great staff. Nice...

My fiancé and stayed here July 4th weekend. We came to see the Phillies play the Pirates. The hotel is what it's advertised as: * A 5-star hotel, no. But it's clean, and it's comfortable. * Great location, no. But it's right off the highway, and you're downtown or at the zoo or at the casino in under 10 minutes....

We stayed for a few nights, as we were interested in looking around Pittsburgh before driving down to see Fallingwater. The hotel room itself was fine, with a balcony and good water pressure in the shower, however what made our trip was the friendly approach of the staff - Emily was especially amazing, shuttling us in to town and giving...
