My husband and i camped here on our biking trip from Pittsburgh to Washington DC. The campground is directly on the trail and it was wonderful! The entire campground was perfectly maintained, stocked with firewood, a shelter and picnic table/site. We were lucky enough to reserve campsite 00 which was tucked away from the rest of the campground. We were right on the river and felt like we had the place to ourselves. The owners were very accommodating and we had a great experience! Highly recommend!!

I camped here two nights in September 2020 while bike camping on the GAP trail. Owners were very accommodating and friendly. Nice to have hot showers in the facilities across the river. Camp sites were nice. Only downside was the trains which were pretty noisy all night.

My friends and I stayed here for a night while biking the Great Allegheny Passage. This is a review for the guesthouse, not the campground. The guesthouse was very roomy, clean, and comfortable with a nice bathroom and kitchen. We were able to use the washer and dryer in the basement and the place is right along the scenic Casselman River and a quick walk to everything you would need in Rockwood. I would recommend staying here if you're riding the trail and need a break.

We were very happy we chose to camp at Husky Haven Campground on our first night biking the GAP trail. We took advantage of a nice sheltered platform where we pitched our tent and stowed our gear for the night. Very gracious hosts. We liked biking into town just over the bridge for a hot shower. We did not check out the guest house but appreciated the option. Highly recommend!

The guest house was perfect after a long day of biking on the GAP trail. We were so happy we stayed here and could soak in the bath to ease our sore bodies. The house was super clean, well-equipped and comfortable, included a lovely porch in the back with lounge chairs. There's a common basement area with computer, ping pong table, darts, etc. We stayed here two separate nights - on our going and return trips - and would definitely stay again. My husband had stayed at the campground another time and said it was perfect too. These folks run a smooth ship and are very accommodating, thanks!

This was one of our favorite campgrounds while we were biking the GAP trail. The site itself is beautiful, located just next to the river, and right off of the trail. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire pit, grill, trashcan, and supply of firewood. The bathhouse is located a short walk across the bridge/river at the guesthouse. There is a common room with wifi, charging stations, pool table, ping pong table, air pump, and bike wash. Downtown is only a block away. The only downside is the frequent and loud trains that pass through town - only reason we gave a 4 instead of 5. Pack earplugs as the GAP trail does run alongside a busy train route.

This is a beautiful campground that is especially great for bikers on the GAP (it is right along the trail - easy to get to on bikes). Showers, potable water, washer/dryer, wifi, and a computer is available if you go across a bridge into town. We loved staying here and the owner's dog rides around in his golf cart with him! However, be aware that trains come through the town multiple times a night. Even if you are not a light sleeper, they will wake you up!

Nestled in the hillside of Pennsylvania is the railroad town of Rockwood, with The Great Allegheny Trail as our destination. On the Allegheny Trail you will find the Husky Haven campground set next to meandering Casselman River. Immaculately clean campsites are stocked with ample firewood each with its own shelter. Hot showers, a bike wash station, laundry room and a USB charging station in the basement are available. The campgrounds are scenic with the scent of evergreens, the sound and view of the river, and the trail directly behind. As this experienced camper can attest, this is the one of the best campgrounds we have visited.

When we arrived, a card with my name was on the campsite, so there was no question as to where to go. The campsite is clean and exceptionally maintained. We suspected the owner must be former military as everything had that level of orderliness about it. Firewood was neatly stacked by each campsite and covered to keep it dry. Campsites were spaced far apart, and nice foot trails were made to navigate the site. Next time I ride the GAP, the Husky Haven will be my stop.

Great spot to stop for the night when biking the GAP. We rented the cabin which has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, and living area. There's a bike wash area outside and washer / dryer in the basement (3 bucks total). It's located a couple of blocks from the trail, but is close to the train tracks so don't forget ear plugs. It couldn't be more convenient!
