You know when you gut tells you not to do something? That's how I felt about Great Wolf Lodge. My gut told me not to do it...We took our teen and tween granddaughters there anyway. The good - it was convenient to where we all live. The tween enjoyed the attractions more than the teen. There wasn't much besides the waterpark and arcade for thr teen, but we made the best of it. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The food was OK, The bad - evrything is overpriced. Joanthan said is was a stick up from check in to check out and it was. The buffet was $30 a person no matter how little/how much food was eatten. The coffee at the Dunkin was an insult. It was so watered down, I threw it away. The ugly - we purchased a $250 food credit and in checking w the front desk before we departed, we were told we still had a credit of more than $70. We were told that if we didn't use it, we would lose it. We brought a few food items and guess what we were charged for in the bill we rceived the next day? I've contacted the Lodge only to have my email returned 'undeliverable'. Very poor example of customer service. This has left a bad taste in my mouth. My gut told me not to go there...

Lots of fun with the boys and many activities to offer for free of charge a little bit expensive for my liking but trip was well worth the memories that were made in our adventure to great wolf lodge and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to have a good time in a good atmosphere

Do not book a trip here until construction concludes in LATE 2023. The site banner is misleading - this isn't a refurbishment or "minor." They are doubling the size of the resort. It impacts major things - parking is restricted, the entire entrance is under construction, the lobby (where all of their events are held is reduced by 25%, every main hallway is being worked on actively, the main restaurant is not available, etc. It's clear that they are focused on the construction and not maintaining the rest of the property. The main kid structure in the water park is unsafe (see photos). Every single railing is rusted, so it is impossible for kids to make it to the top without coming in contact. Rusted paint flakes and is sharp, leading to rusty cuts!! Our smoke detector started chirping in the middle of the night, requiring maintenance to come into our room to replace the batteries. At the front desk, I overheard other guests complaining of bugs in their rooms.

DIRTY room, They leave you a vacuum to clean your own room when you request for someone to do clean. For the cost of this place you should not have to spend your vacation vacuuming your room. Horrible customer relations.

Absolutely wonderful experience for a family with small kids and tweens. Clean. Tons of ride options. Three hot tubs and two swim up bars. Check in was easy. The normal indoor chemical smell was almost non existent. Tons of options for everything. My kids already want to go back. 100% will return. The only complaint I could have is that food and arcade were pricey, but no more than any other vacation spot. Loved every minute of our stay. I got really nervous after reading the recent negative reviews, but it was perfect.

My daughter wanted to come here for her bday. Not worth it. Highly overpriced and there’s not much to do. There’s construction everywhere and the water park is crowded, and honestly just for little kids. Not the cleanest. Go to kalahari. We went there for 2 nights 3 days 2 young kids and 2 adults almost 1800. Not worth it. The game room is tiny and expensive. They charged me a 45 dollar pool towel fee? I returned the towels?!? Also, I have stayed here 2x, this time there are no microwaves. How? This is a family place and I needed to heat up milk for my child I had to go up the 3rd floor like what? There were cockroaches in the water park… not so clean. The kids loved the dance party, and the arcade? I spent over 150 for 2 kids (3/4) for just an hour. For the amount of money I spent I could have gone on a cruise.

From the very beginning, I'd say this stay was off to a poor start. I've begun giving my nieces and nephews "experiences" for their birthdays and Christmas instead of things, and a trip to Great Wolf Lodge was this year's Christmas gift. I knew they'd love it. I was hoping to do at least a 2 night stay with them, but when I went to book a Thursday night reservation a few months out, it was just shy of $800 for the room, and access to the water park. So, sadly, multiple nights was out of the picture as I knew we'd need to pay for a few meals, and they'd want to do some of the other attractions. On the day of our arrival, we discussed getting there as soon as possible after the 1pm water park start (you're allowed access to the water park starting at 1pm on the day you check-in, although you won't be able to get into your room until 4pm, or so they say). We pulled into GWL just after 1:15pm, and noticed quite a few other families were doing the same as well. I began to look for a parking space, which is where my first annoyance began. The first row I went down was full, but due to construction, there was no place to turn around and come out another way. The rows were tight, so in my SUV, I needed to pull a multi-point turn to get back out and look for a spot in another row. Luckily the other side of the parking lot had the ability to go out each end of the rows, but even going up and down each row, there was not a spot in sight. So I pulled into the entry where there was a valet. He told me he had no good ideas of where I should park if the lot was full, but I could park there for a few minutes and at least go check-in. So that's what I did. I will say the process of checking-in was quick and easy because I already had a reservation. After getting our bracelets (which had both our room key and ability to pay for things on them), I spoke with a staff member inside and mentioned my inability to find parking. She mentioned there were no options as construction had removed a large portion of the parking. She told me I should drive around until I found a spot from someone leaving. I mentioned a lot much farther back I'd passed on the way in for "Pack Members (aka what I think was employees) and Construction Workers". She told me if I wanted to park there I could because I had a reservation. While we had a spot, it annoyed me that I had to bring it up and their only solution was to drive around looking for a spot. We finally were able to park, although it was quite muddy and my niece slipped walking in (luckily not hurting herself). We went to the waterpark where we had to rent an $18 locker to store our clothes and shoes. Within 10 minutes of getting the locker and getting wet on our first ride, our room was ready. We spent about 3.5 hours in the water park before leaving for the night. I dropped the kids in the room while I went back and got our things from the car. I came back, we changed, and went to dinner at the restaurant in the Lodge. We didn't have to wait, and the buffet was okay, but the food was subpar. For two kids, an adult, and two kids drinks, our total was over $65 plus tip. We weren't quite ready for bed after dinner, and also didn't want to get wet again, so we did mini-golf (most of the holes are broken - they have ramps inside of obstacles but the ramps are broken so your ball will disappear inside of said obstacle and you'll need to get on your hands and knees and dig it out). We also did a round of candle-pin bowling, which I actually liked, and then ended our night with the 8:15pm dance party. The next day, we woke up and got breakfast. Again, for two kids, an adult, and one coffee, it was $45 plus tax. Again, the buffet was sub-par. Lots of options, but pretty bland. After breakfast, we went to the water park for a few hours. I had extended our stay until 2pm (an additional $60) because the waterpark doesn't open until 10am. We stayed until almost 1pm, before we went back to the room to change, pack up the car, and grab a slice of pizza for lunch. We finally ended with the arcade. I spent $50 - each kiddo got $25 to play with, and it didn't last long at all. My niece hit a pretty big jackpot so we had almost 2200 tickets to spend. We waited inline for almost 15 minutes to spend our tickets, even though there were only 2 families in front of us. There seemed to be multiple staff members in the back, but only 1 was working to help families to get their prizes. Finally, we spent the tickets and were on our way home. As we drove home, my niece and nephew couldn't help but talk about how much fun they had. However, once we arrived home, I pulled up my bank statement and saw that I had spent an additional $450 (after the already $800 spent for the room and access to the water park). This is from 2 meals at the restaurant, the locker, pizza, mini-golf, bowling, arcade, and two sets of wolf ears and two sets of goggles. Could I have done it cheaper aka brought my own meals/had something delivered, and not done any of the add-ons? Sure. But that's part of the experience. I just wasn't expecting to spend another $450 in less than 24 hours. So, will I go again? Not unless someone else is paying. For what you get, it is NOT worth $1250 in my opinion. If I wanted to do something similar, I'd take my niece and nephew to Dream Mall Water Park and get a hotel room near there (if I wanted the overnight experience). I went there this summer with my niece for her birthday and we enjoyed it just as much, if not more. It was cleaner, the staff were more attentive (putting me more at ease), and was more enjoyable.

I am attaching a series of photos to show you exactly why you should not spend an extraordinary amount of money on a place that is run down and filthy. I will also be including portions of the conversations I had with “willow” the text system used to get help while you are here. When we arrived, the lobby was lovely. The check in people were friendly. It went down hill from here. We got into our room, a wolf den suite, right away and noticed a few things that needed fixing. One was the part of the carpet that attached to the wall. We have a toddler and didn’t want her to be pulling this (and end up paying for it) so we contacted willow right away. We also reported that the safe did not work. We were told someone would be right there. We waited while unpacked and got into our swimsuits (about an hour and a half). No one came. Upon returning to the room, we noticed that there were crusty stains on the red blankets of the kids rooms. They were filthy with these spots of mystery stains. We called and asked for new blankets and did not allow our kids to sleep with them. No one came to fix the wall or replace these dirty blankets. When we opened the pack and play, it was filled with crumbs and old food from whoever used the pack and play last. We cleaned the entire thing because it was obvious housekeeping never did. The next morning, we moved the table to fit our child’s high chair, there was a half a meal’s noodles on the carpet. We cleaned those up so our toddler didn’t eat them. It was around this time we noticed about ten fruit flies in the room. This was weird since we didn’t have any food with us. I contacted housekeeping again at 1045 am and reported the wall and the broken safe and the skeevy blankets and the flies. 15 minutes later, a housekeeper showed up and handed me a plastic bag of four rolls of toilet paper and left. I contacted willow again and told them I didn’t need this and what the heck. No one responded until 3 hours later. Maintenance came and fixed the locker and wall. No one from housekeeping showed up to address the flies or the crusty bedding. I contacted them again at 316 pm. No one called back, no one came. At 622pm I contacted willow again and they finally put me in touch with a maintenance supervisor- Rhonda. We finally got new blankets at around 7pm the last night of our stay thanks to her. We also had the maintenance man dump poison down the drains as I waited to feed my infant because that’s where the fruit flies were coming from. “This happens all the time” save your money. Go someplace clean.

We just came back from a large family vacation with three separate rooms, 15 people, 5 days. Kids and family had a great time at the park and all the kid activities but customer service is terrible. So 5 stars for entertainment and 1 for customer service which rounds out to 3 stars. They charged my card without authorization to my brother in laws room and after 5x going to front desk, texting willow, and calling it was not corrected to the tune of $1500. All because we have the same last name, they took it upon themselves to charge my card AND his for their room and deposits. Even at check out today it was still an issue. No apologies. Nothing. Additionally our room had a terrible sewage smell that we asked about and someone came at 9pm to spray this sickening sweet spray but did not address the smell. There was something up with their plumbing. Again very oddly addressed. We got this feeling like the front desk just didnt really care once you paid. it was uncomfortable and we didnt want to be difficult with our kids around. It's a shame because it's a fun place but the back end is off.We will do our next family reunion somewhere else .

I was excited to try great wolf lodge - we have some friends who are repeat customers and I loved the kitch of the theme. After visiting kalahari three times, we wanted to change it up. The little camping nook for the kids to sleep in looked so cute. In reality though, the room felt dated and tired. The construction was more all encompassing than I expected. The water park was quite compact and felt like everyone was packed in. There were not a ton of dining options. The kids enjoyed the bowling, mini golf and dance party, but the magiquest was expensive and tedious. Staff members were great, all very friendly. We did the all in one deal, which ended up being a good deal with the dining credit and activities, if you think your kids will want to do them. I’d be interested to see how the resort looks when construction is done, but in the meantime, I’d opt for kalahari if my kids (2, 7 & 9) wanted to do a water park again.
